It's referred to as "Hoss's theme". There's many variations of it used in Bonanza, but only for "Hoss" episodes, and only for the more light-hearted ones. Whenever I hear Hoss's theme, I know it's going to be a good episode.

I'd love to know who arranged their fight scenes. Having spent my acting career doing all my own action sequences, I've rarely seen fights where the 'delivery' and reaction to the hits looked so convincing. Comedy, pathos, drama; top quality family entertainment on every level, Bonanza nights were 'sacred', no-one went out. What a pity they can't write shows like this these days.
@roostercogburn37712 жыл бұрын
Your right about the "top quality, but wrong about "they can't write shows like this". They could, but now-a-days for some unknown reason, they let the Devil in and went to going in the opposite direction. Back then, men were men, not deciding if they wanted to be!

I always preferred the episodes surrounding Hoss, who to me was a little more balanced character than Adam and Little Joe. He wasn't perfect and had his unique quirks, but unlike his older and younger brothers, he was no drama queen or took nearly everything personal as Adam and Joe did in certain episodes.
