The great thing about these shows is that it shows the natural consequence of everyones actions. Unlike today, where all wrongs are swept under the rug and guardians unwilling to hold those they are responsible for accountable. There is a reason why the townspeople did not want to take that boy in. The Cartrights always make themselves vulnerable to the mental illness of others.

@@chatryna People have no manners, scruples, are offended too easily, forgot how to laugh at themselves. Neighbors used to help each other. People have become self absorbed with themselves and could care less. Sad society. "Children learn what they live."

We have been warned that in the last days the hearts of men will grow cold. You could see this coming decades ago. And if you review the old entertainment films, you could see the warning signs 100 years ago. Orwell could not have said it any better. So the question becomes, is it time to run for the hills or do we still have something to work with. And I am of the opinion that we have something to work with.

@@gladysrodgers5991 Theatrics. But then again, it's also where the rubber meets the road. Better he understands as a boy what is happening to him than to wonder why all his life he keeps being rejected. They should have just told me I was illigitimate instead of pretending to love me and then quietly aborting my spirit. You don't have to tell a kid he is rejected. They always know. I had my doubts as an infant, wasn't sure why I was alive at 3. And by four my heart ached for Jesus but was told I could not see him...leaving me to believe his love is utterly useless. Yep, I say tell the truth and then tell the solutions. But then again, this could be an illustration of how things were done back then. Lots of times its still done the same way. My brother was already looking for a replacement for his old lady when she was dying. He relied on her for so much, he needed to find her replacement asap just to survive. You could say life is cruel. I say life is fragile. Never expect anything and never expect to replace what you (or me) have tossed aside not recognizing its full value. People fall from high places all the time. We are not God. Yet we have a role to play. Yep, they should just have told me out right I was illigitimate and I could have moved on to finding my legitimacy in Christ.

How did the kids pa know which bedroom window to climb in

He was friends with the Cartwrights, so maybe he knew the layout of the house. Or was watching the rooms from a distance in the dark, but could see into the rooms before the lights were put out.
