I didn't know they had smart bullets in 1865. Joe fires his pistol at least 30 yards without aiming and never misses.
@t.m.hackley17205 жыл бұрын
It's not the so called smart bullets in this episode as you called them . It just happens to be the Cartwright that's shooting at the killer's happens to be a quick draw and a great shot if you watch several episodes closely where all 3 brothers are either in shootouts or fights all together at the same time Adam & Hoss are the better fighters between the 3 brothers but Little Joe is the better sharp shooter . Adam & Hoss are not as quick of a draw as little joe is and even though both are good shooters neither one has as good of an aim or agility and usually hits their targets as little joe usually always does. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a little joe fan it's a fact. Just watch some episodes where all 3 brothers are in shootouts together and you can clearly see that most of the time Joe isn't just the quickest draw but also the best sharpshooter of the 3 .
@thisistheend_7775 жыл бұрын
They were "homing bullets" not smart bullets....geez know your history bro. Homing Bullets were banned in 1907 because fellers out in the woods fired off a few rounds & killed 2 families that were camping together.
@markkmiecik97974 жыл бұрын
Yes, they did. When they were smartly fired correctly towards their target they would hit it. Just like today. If you look at the revolvers you'll notice 7 to 9 inch barrels on them. With a little practice, one could hit a gallon jug at 50 yards. With a lot of practice . . . Google Jerry Miculek and watch some of the videos. 30 yards for him is a piece of cake. It doesn't start to get challenging until about 150 yards. Back in the day when most people out west wore a handgun as part of their daily attire I'll bet even more people were as good as the few hundred shooters who are any good today.
@charlesvan134 жыл бұрын
@@markkmiecik9797 But notice that Jerry Miculek always holds the gun straight out at eye level using the sights. The Cartwrights always shoot a pistol from the hip.

I love these old TV shows. But then it's a trip to see things now the way I did not see them when I was a little kid watching this. Little Joe just killed too bad guys and he watched another bad guy die. In real life that would totally mess up a real life police officer. But Little Joe Just Smiles at his dad and says, " come on over for a cup of coffee dad." But I still miss TV shows like this. Life was so much simpler then.

Ron Comfort They were simpler times, because we only had a TV and a radio (with just a few stations) at home to entertain us. No Internet and multiple electronic gadgets vying for our attention. We played marbles and played jacks, climbed trees and used a mop as a pretend horse. It's funny that you say "life was simpler back then" If you really stop and think about it you might just realize that it was actually a very hard life back then. Every meal had to be hunted, fished or dug up and you had to have a fire to cook anything. Now we have microwave ovens and color T.V.'s. No, it wasn't simpler in ,amy ways but in one respect it was simpler...they didn't have all the taxes, traffic, transgenders, snowflakes and overall a bunch of Liberals trying to bring socialism as a legit form of government. Today it is a lot harder in social ways but back then you were lucky to make it past birth (I doubt abortion was very popular) or to the age of 40. THink about that.

This is actually one of the better episodes of Bonanza ( Not a Corny one like someone said) and i agree this was a good episode of joe proveing himself to his so called adult brothers who just think little joe is nothing more than a so called kid that can't make good dissensions . I enjoy the fact that big brothers Hoss & Adam are protective over their younger brother and are always there for joe if he does need their help. But sometimes i think they need to lighten up a little bit give joe a break ( especially Adam ! ) and start taking him more serious instead of always making everything a joke when it comes to joe . i absolutely love♡ PA Ben ♡ in this episode for being the only one who lishen' s To joe without making a joke about everything .

For continuity purposes. That way some scenes could be used interchangable. This is why Joe always wore the same beige shirt & green jacket. And Adam wore the same black shirt, etc.

It's awesome for people like me with prosopagnosia! ("face blindness") But they actually do it for continuity (like Lucas McCain said) and for identity (like skirts365 said). I've extra'd in a couple movies and they can splice in different scenes more easily when the main characters' clothes don't change. But I do know this is one of the reasons why I love some of these older shows -- I was born with prosopagnosia, so all humans have faces that look very similar to me. If they put everyone in this cast in the same clothes, and covered up their hair, I couldn't tell one guy from the next, unless he had a beard or mustache. It's really annoying. People get all insulted, _"Don't you remember me??!"_ I'm spectacular at remembering names, but faces all look pretty much alike to me. (Human faces, I should say. I rescue and rehab animals and I can easily tell one marmoset monkey from another by his or her face. Same with dogs, cats, etc.) I'd be curious if anyone comes along and reads this thread who also has face blindness?
@shawnsholtes55365 жыл бұрын
@@zxyatiywariii8 I've never heard of your disorder. Did you know your parents by facial recognition? I suppose it is kind of sad in one way because when you are out to get laid it isn't that important to you whether your partner is good looking or not!! Lol On the other hand I imagine that if you were to fall in love and your partner looked like a gorilla your friends and family would give you grief forever!! Sorry for your situation but I'm sure by now you have overcome most of any ridicule. Good luck in the future and I hope someday you can find a cure.
