This was Danny Boyle’s Olympic Games 2012 opening, and nobody knew what to expect. But not this! It was amazing.... pure theatre, capturing our history from pastoral though the industrial revolution. You still wonder how they did it. At minute 16 007 calls for the Queen, which is what you’ve already seen. And I can guarantee, you win’t have seen anything like this before. This was the best kept secret ever. Danny Boyle and a couple of others came up with this idea and were certain the queen would dismiss the idea. She has a wicked sence of humour and thought it would be a hoot. 2 copies of her dress had to be made. The 2nd in a much bigger size to fit the stuntman (yes man) who actually did the jump. The only person in the royal family who knew about this was the Duke. Everyone else was kepyt in the dark and were as gobsmacked as the rest of us. The opening ceremony was long 4 hours but it was amazing. And you are right was a packed show of everything british with a big shout out the the NHS along with Great Ormond St hospital and childrens literature.

The Queen and members of the members of the immediate Royal Family have great senses of humour and love to make jobs and have fun. Like when the king of Saudi Arabia went to visit the Queen and she invited him for a tour of the estate. The King got into the queen’s Land Rover expecting a chauffeur She took the driver’s seat and raced around the road on her land refusing to slow down, while he asked his interpreter to ask her to slow down and he careful. She didn’t. The whole time she told him that she didn’t have a license or passport. She doesn’t need either. She was making a point since at the time, women were not allowed to drive in his country.

We were all surprised that the Queen actually did the sequence. Most thought that it would be an actress made up to look like the Queen. The stuntman dressed as the Queen for the skydive, is also the same man who did the first skydive without a parachute, using a wing suit, he landed in a stand of cardboard boxes. I was a bit disappointed that the Queen's footman announced Daniel Craig as "Mister Bond" as James Bond was a Commander in the Royal Navy. Therefore, he should have been announced as "Commander Bond", but it would have been correct for the Queen (as his superior) to address him as "Mister Bond". The brief walk out of the room has now become legend as a meme. where the Queen asks Bond to arrange for some 'accident' for someone. Daniel Craig almost tripped over the Corgis as they were playing. He was also incredibly grumpy as he had to film it all on his only day off from filming one of the Bond movies. The Queen was very patient and even improvised during the scenes. www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHBF_enGB753GB753&sxsrf=ALeKk02EI_q3GwpdAVP2e_jOSsYOxw6KNw:1607025384317&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=Daniel+Craig+Queen+meme&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiw9rSJzLLtAhXDaRUIHezZASAQ7Al6BAgDEEE&biw=1920&bih=975
