Bond Index Inclusion Step Towards Internationalising India's Finance System: PM-EAC's Sanjeev Sanyal

JP Morgan has decided to include India in its Government Bond Index-Emerging Markets (GBI-EM) index. The inclusion is slated to commence from June 28, 2024, and will extend for over 10 months with 1 per cent increments on the index weighting, as the country is expected to reach the maximum weighting of 10 per cent as per JP Morgan.
