I found this by accident when looking for some info on my DSL connection...I knew Galen from his days as a stereo salesman at Good Vibes across the street from Purdue back in the 1970s!

Good information. I do hope Belden makes enough money to create videos with mics and good cameras!

Good info but that bonded cable looks to be less than a third the length of the unbonded one, to amplify the differences. Am I wrong?

Would love to have seen what improvements, if any, swapping the 100m unbonded pair cable for bonded would have have made. I have a 30m run direct to a computer. Should I change the 30m for bonded pair? Or just add 1m of bonded pair to the end?

Not quite as many followers as Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus... and explains the difference as well between bonded and non-bonded as they would. Clearly bonded is better across a frequency bandwidth spectrum, but what is the ,manufacturing construction difference? Bonding means glued?

WIll be an issue as you begin to go 10 - 40 - 100 G.....then again, quality electronics could cancel that out. For most, this is and will remain a non issue. ( remember ModTap freaking folk out on picofarads ) But, I learned something. I will go with bonded patch cords just so my Fluke stops freaking out over NEXT and FEXT measurements. FYI - when Nortel / Nordx ( pre Belden ) rolled out their Optimax line - Powersum stuff.....they would tell installers to NOT measure the cable with Pentascanners and FLukes. The only test required was that the system was completely NORDX ( marketing ) - and that you stayed within limits -----all you would need is a line map. For most of my projects, unless client wants a useless warranty and fancy pics - line mapping is all that is required.
