and many more to come!The Bondi Beach Bar Brutes train at the North Bondi Outdoor Beach Gym on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH.
We start around 11am and encourage everyone to come and join in, regardless of age and skills.
It's free and we run great workshops, and comps for all bar & bodyweight training techniques.
So far we have had locals & visitors from all over, amazing girl state gymnasts, special forces, MMA guys, wrestlers, pole dancers, CrossFitters, mums and 90 year old dudes who bang out 10 chins!

What impresses me the most about the Bondi crew is there are a lot of physically bigger guys with Marcus being the biggest example. To see him pull of what he does inspires me big time.

it affects your endurance, for example triathletes. having a low body fat percentage won't hinder you doing power exercises like pullups

I'd love to come up from southern sydney, alas I stopped body weight and moved to the gym due to time allocation via working. I was never really any decent to start with, nor the body to train at a beach lmao.

Hey Marcus - Can you let me know how high from the ground do you guys set up the stick that eliminates any kipping? And how far are the notches from the pull up bar? I am trying to set something up similar. Thanks

I heard that having a really low fat percentage redces you strength so why are these guys really strong?

it's amazing how you guys are older, yet stronger than me. but we also recognise that strength takes time to build up. age's just a number.

Hi - Just 20 metres away there is a mile of soft-sand- we all run soft sand (like running in glue) and do lunges and single leg (pistol) squats as well as water-resistance running. It just doesn't look that 'interesting' so we don't put it on the vids. The new clip will have one-leg pistol squats with cement blocks... LEGS baby! Best cheers, train hard - Marcus
