The kid, Cameron, did a great job of putting the pain to the side. Hopefully, the Asian kid will grow from this experience too.

I live in a beach town. My 15yo niece spends all of her free time surfing at the main beach in town. It's such a beautiful place to live, and is never crowded like Bondi.

I remember when I was at the coast about a year ago and the whole beach was full of blue bottles like they were everywhere absolutely everywhere and there was also these big pink jellyfish that were all along the beach too. To be honest I am surprised I did not get stung bye a blue bottle 😂

My family visited Texas a few years back and there were a ton of jelly fish on the beach and everyone wanted to go in the water. I absolutely freaking REFUSED. Having watched this I'm glad i did! No one went in the water because I was a "kill joy". You people are welcome!

My daughter got stung by a jelly fish off the Atlantic coast. She was just little and was screaming in agony. A local construction worker came down off a house he was working on and rubbed her leg vigorously with the sand. It really did work. She was still sore but we were so thankful he was there because we didn’t have any idea how to help. Angels among us. I’ve never forgotten his kindness

just curious, but in hawaii we track the bluebottles (Portuguese man o war here) by the moon. they always come around about a week after the full moon for us. do Australians track them too and avoid the beach? I realize that most of the people they treat are tourist tho, so i'm wondering if the locals are like us and avoid the beach during this time haha

I did the same thing that woman did, diving under a wave thinking I'd get out of the surf that way. Holy shit it did not do me any good, I was thrown about and slammed into the ground so hard I didn't know where up or down was. My partner floated on top of the wave and was able to fish me out, but I nearly drowned. Also my bikini was all over the place :D :D
