At about 11:00 one life guard asks Jack if he is ok. Being involved in a situation like that is very stressful, emotional, and scary. It is often at such a moment that a rescuer realizes whether they want to continue in their profession or not. Even for experienced rescuers with multiple serious incidents there may be a triggering part of a rescue that gets to them. Checking on your team after a rescue is an important part of the rescue itself.

I am haunted by an incident where I had to do CPR solo for 10 minutes by myself when a man collapsed next to me in the shopping mall. It seemed like forever and I have no idea if he made it but I think it unlikely as he was pretty darn grey when the ambulance took him away. To this day I just want to let his family know that I tried.

Bondi Rescue is one of the most genuine shows I’ve ever seen. I love how lighthearted moments, the hard work that goes into being a lifeguard, stressful and difficult moments and all in between mix up. This rescue reminded me of Odbjorg & Johnny. Thankfully the sea helped get this patient in quickly & the team's amazing training showed; if this guy had had the same medical emergency anywhere else, chances are first aid trained people wouldn't have been immediately on hand & he might not have survived. Great job guys 🙌🏻

I work in a busy NHS Hospital in Portsmouth UK. I've worked on patients in arrest with every and all types of medical personnel/equipment, and it's difficult to get a rosc. To do this, on a beach is inspiring and shows you how skilled and knowledgeable these heroes are. Amazing!
@stevep17623 ай бұрын
Great teamwork on the resus guys. Also a mention for the member of the public who took the rescue board out themselves to try to help. Great decision making in the tower as well, hitting the shark alarm prevented the situation getting much worse when they were overstretched. Would be interested in their own analysis of this resus, doesn't seem like much they could have changed.

Most government employers in Australia offer access to free counselling services for their employees. I think the issue with the show is normally you are trained in jobs like this to not be emotionally involved. However, the production team make you do interviews and talk out your feelings and coax you to be upset and such; which is against all the training

Thanks for making the 1st episode of Season 18 available! Please do put the hard part such as at 11:05, it's like an education or like something to realize it's not a simple video.
