This was a hard video to edit! I could feel the pain every time I watched it back and man that was one sharp knife- my face said it all. We were just getting started too but what a spot, we will have to come back with some thicker boots. I was worried about this injury being really bad and thinking about not being able to help Nicky with Johnny or make videos!!! Here's something to make you smile....your magnet saved my garden today! We had a large aspen tree topple over due to weather, but luckily it landed precariously on top of another tree that is on the edge of my garden. I was so worried I was going to lose my garden and all the hard work I put into it! Well here comes the Bondi Nugget Magnet and grappling hook to save the day. I was able to use that and the 65 feet of line, fling it up hook it around the tree and get the tree to fall sideways instead of on top of my garden. Thanks Bondi Magnets! Who knew that the magnet and grappling hook would serve a completely different purpose!

Hard lessons are the only lesson that remind you not to forget or take anything for granted again. You will be even better now because you gained true knowledge. Your foot will be fine. Just keep it clean (DON'T WEAR COLORED SOCKS) elevated and unwrapped at night. Tetanus shot may be a good idea even if it's less than 5-7 yrs since your last one. Stay out of the canals for at least a month and wear much thicker boots. I been through the same and learned myself, even broke my ankle and had to swim to shore so it was a good experience until you see your foot backwards, panic and snap it back in place. Tibia and Fibula were both broke. I walk like a drunk penguin now haha

my mate did this a couple months ago on a building site. his solution to the pain of walking was to cut a square out of the sole of a shoe so hobbling around at home was much more comfortable. good luck mate

I'm not surprised that Dave found the canal water so cold, but I had a little laugh when you got in and said it was cold, too, considering Dave had already been standing in it for a few minutes already. I have no doubt that you two could potentially have recovered enough cutlery to make a full set had you not stepoed on the knife. Take fresh water (to rinse cuts off) and some first aid kit. Pressure on the wound to get the bleeding to stop. Former EMT here. Be careful. Thanks for the video, heal quickly
