Cockatoos are pretty much born to scream. They’re basically toddlers with feathers who can just be noisy for no real reason other than they can.
@rekkariley6525 ай бұрын
I’m not so sure, I worked for a bird shop too and this definitely sounds significantly louder and more shrill than any of the baby cockatoos we had there. Part of it is probably normal baby cockatoo noise, sure, but this definitely sounds like there’s at least some pain and discomfort mixed in, too.

Dr. Chris was so sweet to talk to wee Kettle, who had no feathers, no mom, fell out of tree, was vulnerable, scared, had a fractured foot and leg...was screaming, ....or I'd prefer "sang"! I felt so sorry for him. He had to be in pain. To see him two months later was wonderful. He still has a baby face. Dr. Chris always comes up with innovative ideas for helping and healing the critters in his care. I can't help but wonder if he has any patents he has processed. I loved the show with the little pig on the farm with only one actual foot. Chris bandaged the three legs to reinforce it for strength and protect the stumps from cuts, rocks, harm including infection etc. Then the best was he placed three little white chair or table leg slides on his stumps and they looked like little white boots. The little guy started walking right away and he was almost off and running. That was just adorable to see. He saved that little guys life. I think you should send these kind of experiences in to the professors at the Vet School to show to students of Vet.Medicine. They could learn from Chris through his ingenuity and talent. Brilliant. I love this show. He and Dr. Tim and staff are a joy to watch. You're Blessed.

@MarinoTarot3 жыл бұрын
@@janishart5128 i wondered too why his next sentence wasn't: "we give him pain killers IV now, so he will feel better". but that's TV production: they need to film the screaming bird from every angle, with different persons next to him, before they can continue to the next scene. first the "We enter the vet" scene (several shots), then the "we examine the bird" scene (several shots), then "we x-ray the bird" scene (several shots)..... it's the tv production that prolonged his pain.
