I was a Spit Formula Four devotee since they came out... until I tried the x-formula 99. Not gonna lie I thought it was a gimmick and I assumed I'd be back on spits in no time, but now I'm fully convinced. They're so fuckin good. Skating around nyc got 10x easier, and they feel like they're even better at sliding than the formula fours. Tried rolling around on spits the other day and it felt like I was on clay wheels. Once you try the x-formula there's truly no going back. It's legit

I went from not knowing Jaws to watching the KOTR 2015 about 100 times(absolutely no joke or exaggeration). man oh man, 8 years later he looks wayyyyyy older. insane. hope his knees hold in there for a few more years, usually skinny guys like that aren't good in sports. esp when joints take a beating and lack of cushion.

The fresh cut looks dope man. I still can't believe how you did the splits off of the Leon set.. that's terrifying and u went back and did it after you healed up. Which is insane. It's not easy to come back from knee surgery.

X formula are my go to wheels, way better then the Dragons, in my oppinion

I've always been an advocate for softer wheels. Passing through the 1980's and 1990s as a skater I watched them go from a 90a - 96a kind of average to 101a( 😂which means almost nothing). I never liked hard wheels. Back in the day 97a Powells or Santa Cruz wheels slid just fine as far as I remember - but then tricks were less technical too. I ride OJ Keyframes nowadays because I'm old 😂And they are a very comfy wheel. Like slippers for your skateboard.

I really wish they do a 95a... I like the 97a but in cold weather, they feel pretty hard like a 100a. Makes total sense that Jaws had a part in the development, though! I can't agree more with the impact reduction. When I get on a homie's board with hard wheels, it feels like I'm on a construction equipment or something lol I can probably pop at least twice as many tricks in a session thanks to them.

Remember on king of the road jaws used a filmer’s board to drop off the roof at Hollywood high. Didn’t work very well. That must’ve been few years before X-formula. 👍🔥👌

@@chriskunce3331 There are 99A X-formula wheels. There are 97A Dragon Formula wheels. The durometer is not part of the 'formula'. Pretty sure the urethane material of Dragon and X formulas are the same. Same creators, same factory, same materials - just different brands and marketing....Dragon is Powell's brand... X is Bones brand.

after skating 1 pair of these i can say it is a solid wheel but they are god awful for powerslides. the only thing that makes them ridable is you'll still be able to slide your 180's and bigspins so you dont stick but No bones . Silly Silly bones these do NOT slide nearly as well as your STF why do companies feel the need to lie is buisness really that bad? maybe ill try a spitfire out of disrespect lol.

From what i’ve heard they have a break in period. Got Mine(x97) a month ago, skated them a bit but powerslides still feel really off(at least compared to my spits)… maybe in time. I really hope so cuz i reaaaally like the shape (v5)
