Instead of spending money on a rifle to change the ammo, you can just collect the medium ammo crate on the grass wall and it will switch automatically.

At the museum, pick up every clip on the counter and in the boxes. I think they’re the only spawned clips in the game that actually give you ammo. Just pick up each one and drop it and it will give you a full clip each.

As you're trying to get the max amount of ammo in each level, do you have to play with melee only? Or will it give you all your fired shots back at the start of the next level?

I'm pretty sure that you need to go melee and save your ammo in order for it to add to your total. I could be wrong. It's hard to test without having a different save file.

If you grab the orb behind the dev manipulator, you can pull the object closer to you or shoot it out like a cannon and you can also rotate the object as well with the orb. This will help without having to find the correct distance to place grab the sphere for the level

So, lets say I beat a level with 300 ammo collected, and then I replay that level and some how get less. If I go on the next level will I have the higher ammo count or lower one? Does it always choose the max amount you collect to precede into the next level?

You will have the higher ammo count. If you go back and play Streets and fire all of your ammo, you will start the next level with all of the ammo you had the last time you played it.

It's very, very, very good to know that the game keeps up with ammo the way it does. I thought I'd have to go through start to end several times to be able to grab more than one of those tools; I previously thought ammo totals reset when not continuing at the last level you got to, but nah, it's far more generous than that. You should be able to go back and replay every level to collect all of the ammo you missed in your first playthrough. The game keeps track of the ammo you've collected so all you have to do is collect the ammo you missed.

This may be a random question but I have had a oculus quest for a couple months now and am now using oculus link to play pc vr games. Most of the smaller games run well like gorn, blade and sorcery, beat saber. But boneworks does not run well. It is probably my pc but does the official oculus link cable work better. At this moment I am using two cables. An extender and a USB 3 cable. If there is no performance upgrade I do not see myself spending £70 on another cable.

Sadly, I'm not familiar with the Oculus. I would guess the official cable would be best, but you might want to make sure your computer can handle Boneworks, first.

Performance definitely would not be through the cable, the cable just compresses the video, so if you had lag issues it would be the cable. Performance, on the other hand, deals with your computer and its specs.

pro tip! how to completely skip collecting the ammo for the dev tools and playing the game over and over again: (literally worked for me today) =========== 1. go to the redacted chamber sandbox area, and unlock the big door by getting the battery and putting the targets down (look up a guide if you're stuck) 2. once you unlock it, keep going through it and keep falling through the void until a reclamation bin appears in the main chamber 3. break the boneworks box that will appear there and get the gravity gun tool and also spawn the utility spawner gun, and shoot the utility spawner gun using the gravity gun by pulling on the sphere 4. boom, you reclaimed the utility gun, which means you have it in story mode 5. load up the time tower level, and hold the menu button and spawn the utility gun, and using it spawn a bunch of ammo so you can insert them into the vending machine 6. grab some of the tools using the suction cups so you grab all of them 7. enjoy not replaying the entire game lol

There are so many omni projectors on that level. Their detection radius is pretty weak so it isn't that tough, fortunately.

Once you unlock the Utility Gun, you can use the dev tools on the story levels. Climbing building on the Street level is fun!

If I used some ammo in a level and finished (what I did in my first playthrough) if I repeat the level and find every bit of ammo there is without firing guns, will it be the ammo I spawn with next level or will it be the one where I wasted it?

The game saves the most ammo you've had at the end of the level. If you go back and collect all of the ammo from a level without firing a round, your ammo count will reflect that in all of the levels after.

You can pull on the sphere on the back of the Dev Manipulator (While your holding something with it) It will bring that item closer to you, and when you release it, it will fire that item, so you don't need to do the "get further away, you wanna be at just the right distance from it" thing :9

Just a tip for the manipulator, if you grab the ball at the back of the gun, it lets you push and pull object closer and farther away from you.

@@EJ3CTAGaming i just dont get how they want people to be creative, but you cant even save sandbox maps or export and its too annoying for most people to grind for this much ammo. really kills the creativity. also hurts the community when we make videos and now the crates are moved for terrible reasons. im also getting annoyed at how "wobbly" everything is. a full body ik means ARMS as well. and i just found out if you kill ford in the jail cell, you cant touch the button and are now stuck. no puzzle should ever let you get stuck. the story is terribly told through clearly Coridor or the node crew. "leave a way in" wtf are you talking about? at the end i told her to stfu how am i getting bitched at for playing the story. the climb at the end and a video was very underwhelming for what i just spent a couple days on.

Upsetting that after 2 years, the devs completely abandoned this game. That weapon ammo change never happened, release bugs are still apparent, and all the future DLC advertised in game never arrived.

I'm happy the video helped you! The cleanup crew are extremely weak. I just run from one to the next. Hit them with what ever weapon you have. It only takes one or two shots. Try to time it so that you kill one right after you get the warning that you are dying. You will get some health back. Run straight to the next and repeat.

I don't understand why they made it so complicated to obtain these cool items that are an integral part of the sandbox mode. Just give us all these tools when we beat the game rather than making us run around picking up a bunch of collectibles in hard to reach locations. I just want to mess around in the sandbox not deal with all this collectible nonsense.

@@EJ3CTAGaming They should just ask one question the first time you start the game: "are you a competitive or casual gamer?" When the person answeres "casual gamer", he should just get all the cool stuff right at the beginning for sandboxmode including the module, and the utilitygun after finishing the story. That way you could just reinstall the game, so you can answer the question again if you changed your mind. (yes, the safe files are not linked with your account, they're just locally saved. Had to learn that the hard way after 36 hours of gameplay in one week and basicly building a new PC around my RTX2080 at the end of the week... Could anybody pls tell me where the savefiles are, because I don't understand the filestructure. Those are all just 2-digit-hex numbers and some .dat files)

There's a simple mod you can download that unlocks everything for the sandbox somewhere on Reddit. I can't remember where I saw it but you just drag and drop the file into your boneworks folder, and it unlocks everything. Again I don't remember where I saw it I just know it exists.

You need to save up enough ammo and then buy it from the dispensing system. Throw it in the reclamation bin before you finish Time Tower and you'll have it in all of the story levels.

Hey man, not sure if you were aware because with the manipulator I saw that you released the orb then got at a good distance and grabbed it again. Apparently if you use your other hand to twist or pull the orb on the back of the gun it will orient and move the object accordingly
