Nice build. One thing though is the copper in the pressure treated lumber can galvanically corrode the aluminum. Happens all the time with aluminum pontoons on pressure treated bunks, even through bunk carpet.

Hi Rob... as usual "devil is in details.." just a comment, use some MS polymer to seal the turning and break lights in order to avoid electric problems... safety the first.. This sealent beam protect interior of chassis and avoid future rust problems inside the plataform. And usually are fully repaintable with all paint availables in the market. BR.

How thick is that aluminum square tube are you using? What did you use as an insulator between the steel axles and aluminum to prevent corrosion? Thank you
@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio3 жыл бұрын
Thanks the square tube is .125” wall and i put some thin puck board plastic between the axles and aluminum

Question: why did you install all the deck boards with the joint all butted together at the center instead of cutting and staggering them so the joints are not all located in one location? So instead of using all 8 foot boards, you would use a mix of 8’, 6’ and 10’ boards in order to stager the butt joints. It would make the deck look more seamless.

I just used what i had , when I built this wood was at an all time high . Thanks

@@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio Works for me! I went to purchase some new cedar deck boards around that time and literally choked. I waited for a while until they came down to an almost tolerable price. My wallet still hurts.

Where did you get that steel wire from? I have searched and can't seem to find it. Oh and I almost forgot that is a beautiful welding job, very nicely done!

@@BonifabcustomRobBonifacio the wiring you used for the lights? You called it Steel wire so assumed the bundle was enclosed in some kind of clear / wire mesh.
