Keep The Faith is so underrated by today standard. I know it did pretty decent back then but somehow this is not considered a rock classic by many people. Sick baseline, catchy chorus, great lyrics, amazing guitar solo and not to mention that this is the song/album that saved Bon Jovi back in the day. This is when Bon Jovi decided to go for something more rather than just being known as a commercial band.

One of the greatest reinventions the music business has ever seen, Bon Jovi were thought to be as dead as their fluffy haired '80s peers prior to Keep The Faith. They always had that something extra about them and proved it big time.

His voice at its best, perfect song, I was 14 years old. Still love them and love Jon. Especially their ‘80s songs. What a man. He had it all. His voice and smile, his face, they melt my heart. Love them.

@ashley1994 I very well know that. I am 44 years old, was 14 when the album came out and could not stop listening to it. I just made special mention to their 80’s songs. I love them and adore the man. Unfortunately his voice is suffering tremendously, obviously for a combination of reasons and it pains me to see footage from his latest US tour. It surrounds my thoughts about living in America hearing all the bad things that happens in America, my experience in war in "Nam, Desert Storm, and now Iraq and Afghanistan what soldiers experience believing in patriotism only to find leaders who don't give a damn about us only their self interests and not our lives, we have to "Keep the Faith".

In the uptake of grunge, not many understood or accepted the massive change in Bon Jovi style. However, massive change was required to keep melodic rock a thing. I feel Jon Bon Jovi successfully saw the future and not only transitioned the grunge period, but outshine it. Not just a masterpiece, but a definite shout out that melodic is still king. Shame some massive 80's stars couldn't react the same way. With a great songwriter, beautiful bassline and amazing full on-influential drummer, Nirvana were a top band. However...Subsequently, years on Bon Jovi proved to be far superior and still relevant.

The early songs are different from the actual songs, i n a million ways. But somehow I prefer the message they send with their today's songs.

@@glynnstreet6115yes, but the acoustic songs are great too, by example dvd "This left feels right version" Of course are the rock songs with the special voice from Jon the best 🙏💖🙏

It's powerful because there is a lot of Bon Jovi's Christian upbringing that goes into the lyrics "Don't you let your love turn to hate" very similar to the words of Jesus Christ.

Incredible song. It must have been very tough for them to abandon the rapidly dying glam rock band stereotype to become something new, more mature but still Bon Jovi. This record had to nail the transformation, a do or die situation but they came through luckily for us.
