One of the most perfect songs ever, I still love it so much, 32 years later!! This was their golden era 92-95, Jon's voice was on fire, and I truly feel they were closer as a band than they ever were. The 80's were such a blur, they were kids and had no idea what was going on, in "the machine". This era they were truly united and were the true Bon Jovi :)

One of my fave Bon Jovi songs.... The lyrics are gorgeous and Jon Bon Jovi just seems to get better and better as he ages. Love the fact that he's been with his wife Dorothea for 35 years! ❤
@parisjok53116 ай бұрын
as long as u do NOT give all the credit to Jon for his forever 💗marriage. 99.9% of forever marriages is cause the wife has chosen to STAY no matter what just like his wife. well we know she had many more challenges with him being a huge pretty blue eyed glorious long hair sexy rock star singer for many many years of their marriage while she stayed home mostly with the babies. She also had all dem females to worry bout while he was out on tour for long periods of time which he has admitted to not being 100% faithful. Both do deserve credit for NOT giving up on each other and their unbreakable bond and love for each other. it is indeed a true love story.💗 ain't love grand 💓

I agree. I was going through some really difficult relationship stuff back when this song was released. The music is on point, the vocals are amazing....but the lyrics really hit home with me then......as they still ring true today. And yes, 'In these Arms' is highly underated, but for those who like good rock and know that true love can make you hurt like hell but is worth the risk...'i'll never leave you'.😢

Love. This took me back to my seriously nuanced pre- internet college experiences in a distant corner of the world in 2001, when falling in love was easy and people were simpler and genuine. With this song.... I suddenly remembered names I'd forgotten. I was transported to cities I'd visited. I could taste food I'd not had for decades. I could see down long forgotten alleyways. I could feel my wooden desk and the names etched into it. The joy of healthy youth and the ridiculous things we thought were important. I was consumed by the excitement, fear, and confusion of the moment when you realize you are helpless on the slippery slope of drowning in love.

"In These Arms" You want commitment Take a look into these eyes They burn with fire, yeah, Until the end of time And I would do anything I'd beg, I'd steal, I'd die To have you in these arms tonight Baby, I want you Like the roses want the rain You know I need you Like a poet needs the pain And I would give anything My blood, my love, my life If you were in these arms tonight I'd hold you I'd need you I'd get down on my knees for you And make everything alright If you were in these arms I'd love you I'd please you I'd tell you that I'd never leave you And love you 'til the end of time If you were in these arms tonight We stared at the sun And we made a promise A promise this world Would never blind us And these were our words Our words were our songs Our songs are our prayers These prayers keep me strong And I still believe If you were in these arms I'd hold you I'd need you I'd get down on my knees for you And make everything alright If you were in these arms I'd love you I'd please you I'd tell you that I'd never leave you And love you 'til the end of time If you were in these arms tonight Your clothes are still scattered all over our room This whole place still smells like your cheap perfume Everything here reminds me of you There's nothing I wouldn't do And these were our words They keep me strong, baby I'd hold you I'd need you I'd get down on my knees for you And make everything alright If you were in these arms I'd love you I'd please you I'd tell you that I'd never leave you And love you 'til the end of time If you were in these arms tonight If you were in these arms tonight If you were in these arms tonight If you were in these arms, baby Like the roses need the rain Like the seasons need to change Like a poet needs the pain I need you in these arms tonight Writer(s): Jon Bon Jovi, Richard S. Sambora, David Bryan album: "Keep The Faith" (1992)
