I am a white mother of a biracial son. He has been growing his hair for years. It’s really long and he loves to wear it in an Afro style. I was told I was setting him up for failure in the black community. Dragged in the comments. I don’t know why your video popped up in my feed. But I am glad that it did. I am a white girl and I know nothing about black hair care and idk how yt brought me here so I will put in my 2 cents. I wouldn't give to flips if the man I was dating wore a bonnet or w.e. to sleep. Just like u said, all somebody who isn't black would need would be their parter to explain to them what it was for. If the girl has a problem with it then she obviously isn't for u. 99.9% of other race females wouldn't care. Most likely she would just be curious as to the purpose. So ya, just be open and explain what it is for and I can guarantee there would be things that would be diff to w.e. race she is and she would need to explain to the man also. Hope this made sence, I am really stoned right now so sry if this came out odd. 😀

I think a bonnet would help me because I wake up with super frizzy, knotted hair every morning. I'm just hesitant because I don't really have curly hair. I have distinct spirals in my hair, but I think it still classifies as a wavy hair type (2b). I just can't really shake the feeling that I shouldn't wear something like a bonnet since I don't have very curly hair, but I also feel like it would help with knotting at night. I'm torn

I'm trying a bonnet for my two strand twist the twist allow you easier apply oil and it stays in because it not as tight as cornrows plus all the satin durag I bought don't keep the oils in. My pillow tend to he a mess with oils in the morning I'm trying a bonnet design for oils and I would see how it works.

Every time I wear a bonnet, it compresses my hair, I don't no if it's cuz it's too small or what

It is a mix between the material used to make the bonnet as well as the size.

No matter what you wear, your hair is gonna be flat in the morning cause you’re laying your head against something for hours. You can just scrunch up your hair in the morning when you wake up if you wear a bonnet. That’s what I do

What do you think of the Grace Eleyae slap cap bonnets? Seem like women love them but it look like a big ol' wave cap. I wonder if it's good at protecting fros without compressing it and if it fit a masculine look?
