Pretty good since Bonnie never killed anybody. The most she ever did was reload Clydes guns. Nobody from the gang or anywhere else ever saw Bonnie hurt anyone. Even the people that they kidnapped said she never treated them bad. They had to make her out to be a vicious killer to justify pumping 57 bullets into her.

lane1953 Sure, the "lawmen" were too cowardly to face Bonnie and Clyde in the end and ambushed them. As for Bonnie committing 1st degree murder, this video clip portrays one of several disputed accounts of her doing so. The men of the Barrow gang most likely played a part in keeping any murders she may have committed a secret to protect her. However, she was an accessory to murder in that she loaded weapons with bullets used for killing as you said. You left out attempted murder altogether, though, as she opened fire on police several times, as detailed in documented accounts.

There wasn't just the two if them there. Another member of the gang was there, and testified that Clyde said ,"Let's take 'em!" So he stepped out of the car and started shooting, then Clyde opened up as well. The farmer who reported that Bonnie Parker walked up and shot at least one of the officers in the head with a shotgun, was in actuality about a quarter mile away and had poor eyesight. There's no proof that Bonnie shot anyone. Was she a willing accomplice? Absolutely she was. By her own admission, so was Blanche Barrow.

Not that she wasn't messed up, they all were to some extent, but they turned her into a full on crazy, obsessive killer (when in reality it is disputed if she ever even killed one person). This is not an accurate account of what happened on April 1, 1934. Bonnie did not do any shooting that day. On June 10, 1933, Bonnie and Clyde were involved in an accident near Wellington, Texas. The car swerved and went off the road. It fell on its side. Bonnie was trapped in the car. The battery was damaged and leaked acid all over Bonnie’s right leg. The burn extended from her hip to her foot. Parts of the bones were visible. Her muscles contracted and stiffened. She never regained the full use of her right leg. For the rest of her life (which, unbeknownst to her was less than a year away) she had to hop on her left leg or have Clyde carry her. It’s highly unlikely that she got out of the car at all on April 5, 1934. It’s also been revealed that Henry Methvin fired the first shot. Methvin was the first one who spotted the police officers walking towards their vehicle. Assuming that Clyde would want him to do so, he began shooting at the approaching police. The officers also opened fire. Clyde began shooting after Methvin and the officers. Bonnie most likely remained in the back seat during the gunfire. She had reportedly gotten a pet rabbit a short time prior to the incident. She was holding the rabbit in the back seat of the car to protect it.

Wow what a chemist . First it think that you are mixing sulfuric acid with battery acid which are totally different . To burn thru the skin all the way to the bones like you just Discribed ? thats pure sulfuric acid , Something that you'll never see in a battery . what you have i na battery is sullfuric acid deluted down to 20% . More than that the acid will chew slowly thru the casting of the battery depending on how pure the acid is . even at 40 % it would take over a yer for the acid to get thru the plastic casing . At 20% you would need to leave it on your skin for over 24 hours before the skin started to burn off depending on which part of the body you apply it . if its only your hands it will more likely dry before it as enough time to burn your skin enough to peel it off . on a leg there is no way that battery acid will chew all the way to your bones but it will burn the skin enough to peel it off after an hours or so and once the skin will peel off the excresions made by your body from thew wound will cause the rest of the acid to wash away . Only pure acid can chew thru skin and flesh in a short time period . Otherwwise you would see lots of old mecanics with no fingers or half way chewed ones .which is something that i never saw once in my life .

Yeah, but I'm just wondering, who would have witnessed those kinds of details about who fired the first shot and the officers opening fire? You mentioned "it's been revealed" that all that happened" By who? And if that much detail was accounted form then why wouldn't there be details about Vinnie;s part r lack of as well? Because after you gave all that detail that apparently someone gave you then say "Bonnie most likely remained in the back seat". Why do you think she was in the back seat? And why wouldn't that have been "revealed" That Methvin fired the first shot? Who or what revealed that info? And what source determined that Henry Methvin was actually in the car with them that day? Was there somebody hiding behind a tree that saw all this happen and gave these accounts? If so, who was it? I'm not doubting that you read or heard all this but I'd like to know the sources. I think that everyone has heard the story about Bonnie shooting the officer in the head when he was down, I've heard some videos say a "witness" gave that account.. But who was that witness? For all that detailed info about what when down on that road to even be out there in the first place there's got to be a record somewhere of who gave that account that can be verified as a source.
@PauloPereira-jj4jv10 ай бұрын
It appears you assume too much... "it's highly unliked that she got out"... "Bonnie most likely remained in the back seat"... "it's also been revealed that Methvin fired the first shot"... Frankly, the recent movie with Kevin Costner portraits exactly what we see in this episode of HC: she got out and killed the man.

This is a complete work of fiction. Seems they are missing Henry Methvin which was the one whom shot the first officer. Bonnie never left the car and had nothing to do with this shooting. Clyde's intention was to take the troopers hostage and release them later as he had done before. Henry Methvin misunderstood Clyde when he said, "lets take them" and proceeded to open fire. This work of fiction did get one thing right, Bonnie did have a rabbit in the car that April 1st, to give to her mother. She named him sonny boy. Now this certainly don't sound like a deranged murderer.

The Barrow/Parker families told that story. Of course, they would tell a version that exonerated Clyde and Bonnie and put all the blame on Henry, who they didn't even know. At the time, a farmer told the story of Bonnie shooting the second cop dead. Of course, this was disputed after the family denied these allegations. But families don''t always want to assume the worst of their kids. i don't think that Bonnie and Clyde were ruthless killers, but they would fight their way out of any situation, even if it included the death of someone else. They were fighting them against the world, and Clyde even taught Bonnie how to shoot and clean guns, when it was just the two of them. After Blanche and Buck were caught or murdered, W.D. Jones left Bonnie and Clyde, and they had to fend for themselves for several months, until Henry Methvin joined them, when they raided Eastham Prison to free Raymond Hamiton.

@@stargazer0480 Let us say that you are right, and Bonnie Parker never actually shot anyone. Does it matter? If you and a friend walk in to a gas station and rob it, and your friend shoots and kills the clerk, you are just as guilty as your friend that pulled the trigger. The Barrow gang were cold blooded killers. They robbed innocent hard working people, stole people's cars, kidnapped people, and would not hesitate to shoot anyone that stood in their way. Bonnie Parker was just as guilty as her male counterpart, and got what she deserved.

Bonnie and Clyde were killed down the road from my grandfather's place in northern Louisiana near Minden. When they brought them and the car into town, he told me people were picking at them and the car for soveniers. Human beings are a sorted bunch, we are. He said it was huge clusterfuck because no one knew what to do with them or who to call or if they should be just buried. Even the FBI were inept, just as they are today!! Ha!
@tomcooper6108 Жыл бұрын
Actually, no, they put the car behind a fenced in guarded area. They did what you would do if anybody else was murdered, take the bodies to the funeral home, and wait for an autopsy. The Hamer team stayed around to g8ve a complete report. These were seasoned law enforcement officers.

But this scene was after she got burned in the car accident, and she was on laudanum, I think, that’s why she is slurring her words, here. In fact, right before this scene, Clyde tells her they need to ween her off of it. Not saying Holiday’s accent was that great, but a lot of British pull off amazing American accents.

@Corolrose12184 жыл бұрын
I agree that the 1967 film was very entertaining. I always enjoy watching it. However, it is almost completely inaccurate. From the beginning of the film to the end. Clyde did not meet Bonnie while trying to steal her mother’s car. They met at a mutual friend’s house in January 1930. They did not embark on their crime spree the day they met. The character of C. W. Moss is fictitious. It is said to be a combination of W.D. Jones and Henry Methvin. Bonnie and Blanche got along fine. In fact, they were close friends. Blanche was actually a couple years younger than Bonnie. She was not in her forties as portrayed in the movie. And, she wasn’t an emotional wreck either. She is said to have been calm and reserved. W.D. Jones’ father did not betray Bonnie and Clyde. The law officers saw him driving his truck down the road and made him stop. They handcuffed him to a tree so he couldn’t warn Bonnie and Clyde of the ensuing ambush. During the ambush Clyde remained in the car. As they pulled to the side of the road the officers immediately opened fire. Clyde was killed instantly. The car rolled down the gravel as Clyde’s lifeless body no longer held the brakes. Bonnie also died inside the car without opening the door. She had a slight pulse right after the shooting ceased. However, she died in the car within minutes of checking her pulse.

They were both "warped" & somewhat dysfunctional, I suspect Bonnie may've been somewhat manipulative. Clyde wasn't the sharpest tool in shed, but he was far from stupid! He liked V8 Fords for good reason (when he could steal one.) Not only light & fast which made them great "getaway" cars, by hard driving he could cover a lotta ground in only a few hours.

Scandalous that this BS is produced by the History Channel. I can understand the story and the individual being distorted in movies but not by a channel that many people trust to learn the facts about history.
Bonnie and Clyde are now suffering mental and emotional torment forever in Hell. That is the reality for cold-blooded murder. It is the ONLY sin/crime which Heavenly Father has stated (through his Holy Prophets in the Bible) that he will not and cannot forgive. All other sins can be forgiven in this life...if sincerely repented of and forsaken.
@Greg80988 жыл бұрын
Lifeiseternal, according to the way you interpret scripture, Moses would be in hell too. Genesis 2:11-12 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. Bonnie and Clyde just may be in hell, BUT it is also possible that they aren't too. The truth is you don't know if they are in hell or not.
