Raitt is not some vapid pop star, she IS the blues, a great musician, songwriter and singer. She is the real deal.

All you say is true, She didn't write this song though, you knew this I'm sure. I became a fan when I saw her on SNL, I think it was. She did a cover of Del Shannons "Runaway". Great version but she always does great songs and she does them well!

Went to see her a few decades ago. Amazing, perfect, and tons of soul. About 80% of the audience were women of all ages. She's been an inspiration to many. She paid her dues, touring endlessly and playing bars. Yep..I'm a fan boy!

Such an amazing voice with a bit of raspiness that just accentuates her words and draws you in. Then of course there's her awesome slide guitar abilities which makes the perfect package and audiences just adore her wherever she performs and you're right @fredherfst8148 .. she is a great inspiration to many, many people out there in the good old U.S. of A. ~ 🎶 🎸 🎙 ~

Five years ago I heard this song and realized that was me. No need asking, I gave her the house, land, horses, everything but my dog, clothes, guns and truck. Took off for East Texas where I had an offer of a job. Two years later I came back with a new horse and a new outlook on life. Now I got some more land, stock, horses and someone who really loves me as much as I do her. Thank You Bonnie Raitt for this song.

"Have A Heart" Hey! Shut up. Don't lie to me. You think I'm blind but I got eyes to see Hey! Mister, how do you do. Oh pardon me I thought I knew you. Would you stand back baby 'cause I want to get a better look. The big man who couldn't handle the little bit of love you took. Hey, hey, have a heart, hey, have a heart. If you don't love me, why don't you let me go? Have a heart, please, oh don't you have a heart? Little by little you fade while I fall apart. Oh Oh Oh darling, I love you so. I told you yes, and then you told me no. Baby, how can you say You should be free and I should pay and pay And you talk and talk about you and what you need But sooner or later your love is gonna make me bleed. Hey, hey, have a heart, hey, have a heart. If you don't love me, why don't you let me go? Have a heart, please, oh don't you have a heart? Little by little you fade while I fall apart. Oh, Oh. Talk on, talk on, but love is what you need. And sooner or later that love is gonna make you bleed. Hey, hey, have a heart, hey, have a heart. If you don't love me, why don't you let me go? Have a heart, please, oh don't you have a heart? Little by little you fade while I fall apart. Don't ya know it baby Have a heart (please) Hey Hey Have a heart (please) Have a heart

BIG fan since 1975. Purchased every LP or CD till progressive diseases n failed surgery crippled me in 1997 or so. Couldn't get up n down to use such gr8 Analog equipment. So I stopped purchasing music. Bonnie helped me through NOT just heartaches from break-ups but also dealing with nonstop pain + knowing no man would ever stay with me because of all of the illnesses. It turned out to be true. Thank you Bonnie, I've seen you at least 5 times. Including meet + greet up in VT benefit concert to feed the homeless, i believe? My other favorite artist of all time since the same frame of time is Stevie Nicks /Fleetwood Mac. Would love 2 see a collaboration with these 2 outstanding, exceptional female artists! Would wonder what song they could meld together with?
