Okay that pontoon boat with that slide next to where Cody was fishing looks like an absolute blast. I just have to tell you that it is so wonderful to hear you really laugh and have fun with your family, especially after the year you have been through. Also, that memory, dementia thing you are worried about is called "mom brain." We all go through it because we as moms have to remember so much and do so much that we get overwhelmed! I also call it "mental pause". We try to do so much for our family and we kind of come in last. I at 73 have learned to make myself slow down and do one thing at a time. That's hard for women because we are multi taskers. At the end of each day I write my list of the things I need to do or accomplish the next day. Then when I start my day with my list I prioritize each item and as I do them I cross it off and give myself a star or a heart. If there is anything left on my list because our days can get away from us I just put that at the top of my list for tomorrow. It just saves me from having to remember everything and I feel more in control. Have a Fantastic Vacation and keep laughing!❤😅❤😅❤

Oh I wish my children had the relationship with my in-laws that yalls do with yours. Awww well…we always have to travel to them and it’s just not always possible. They have never come to us, ever! Now my parents…Mama G & Papa G… my children DO KNOW! And they always are a part of their lives. They come to us and we go to them (just as much as we go to my in-laws). But yeah…so special to spend quality time with family. One day my in-laws will (maybe) realize they have missed out on relationships with their grandchildren (which btw as a military family we currently are stationed 2.5 hours drive away from my in laws & 6.5 hours drive away from my parents…so literally no excuses!!!)

I know you probably won’t see this comment from the thousands you receive but I just wanted to say something. It’s during difficult and traumatic times that you each will see the love for each other. I’ve learnt during a sudden unexpected loss for me that my husband and of course others surrounded me and helped me through. Right now it’s my turn, my husband’s father passed last night and it’s my turn to step up and be there wholeheartedly. Also a reminder with aging and health compromised parents, take individual photos of each during a happy moment, capture them living life. In will help at the end, I am trying to find photos of my father in law, he didn’t like them taken, I wish I took more. ❤
