Hi Bonnie! Some medications shouldn’t be taken with orange or grapefruit juice because the acid can mess with the absorption of the drug. Made me a little nervous as a nurse to hear Joel’s mom takes her meds with OJ, so please double check for me that her meds are okay to take that way!! 🫶🏻 all the love! Enjoy Florida Living!!

Pharmacist here! Certain medications (iron supplements come to mind) are best absorbed in an acidic environment - so taking them with orange juice may be recommended because it helps the body get more from the gut into the bloodstream. Some medications shouldn’t be taken with grapefruit juice because it inhibits the metabolism of those medications and may lead to toxicity or increased side effects (not so much because of the acidity of the juice itself). I second the opinion of another commenter - always best to talk to your own doctor (or pharmacist) about your medications.

❤ I love your parents set up!!!! ❤️ I also Love your new bikes!! I have bad knees and some major muscle problems that biking has become hard for me but love getting out. I bought a few yrs ago a beach cruiser at Walmart in pink and white my favorite color. And my husband got a new very tall mountain bike for his long legs. We talked about getting e-bikes and I love that color of blue and turquoise if we were going to do matching. The decision is a trike or bicycle? And as I've mentioned we have a 5th wheel too do I don't want to get them torn up. Husband is 6'2"& I'm 5'8". Are these bikes adjustable for our needs?
