My son is 25 years old and when he was your son's age. He use to get that darn cough at least every week or every other week. He had him tested and we found out he had allergies. But when he was a teenager he grew out of everything. So stay positive. The one thing that helped was putting him in the bathroom with hot water running for the steam and than taking him into the cold. That would open his airway. But you might have to buy a nebulizer machine for him.

sue Dickinson ~ I think essential oils would help his breathing in the bath as well! Like eucalyptus and lavender! I feel bad for children with breathing troubles! My older brother had the same asthma the boy in the bubble but it wasn't as bad! He fought his asthma and when he was 13 he grew out of it but he now has it back again and he's in his sixties! I'm not saying that Lincoln has asthma I'm just saying allergies can act like asthma sometimes!

You can buy a pediatric oximeter on Amazon to monitor oxygen saturation levels. Very handy to have when kids are ill.

I think Ruby feels uncomfortable outside of mom mode, her life revolves around her kids. Ellie and Bonnie love their kids, but they are more likely to be seen having adult time away from their kids. I rarely see Ruby do this on a normal basis. This is not a bad thing, but it helps to have a well rounded life while the kids are still around because once they're all gone, it's just you. And that can be pretty sad if you have nothing else going on for you.

Poor Lincoln! You guys should talk to his pediatrician about asthma. My son is 4 years old and when he was younger we had ALOT of issues with him being sick all the time and they always said he had croup but it never got better. Do a little research on asthma in toddlers and talk to his dr about it. We finally got a diagnosis of asthma for my son and we have to give him daily nebulizer treatments but he is soooo much better now than he was before! Hope he feels better soon!

Yes mine was diagnosed with asthma. I made s vlog about it. Now every time he gets sick we give steroid puffer and regular puffer and he doesn’t get as sick

It has to be one of the *worst* feelings as a parent to be away when your child gets sick!! Bonnie, it looks like you handled it well though & you had a responsible sitter who was able to take care of the situation. I hope you all had a great time overall & I'm guessing Lincoln is better by this time ❤ The only experience I have with it is a small dog who had her first upset stomach ever & I had to go to work anyway. I hated it, but I thank the Lord for it because it was a huge lesson in that sweet little package. I didn't even have to leave her alone, she was with my mother, but I knew right then & there that I wouldn't be able to work outside the home when children came along. Ever since then I've been able to start putting pieces together in my own life to make my stay-at-home dreams reality...

Poor kiddo! My little one was diagnosed with recurrent croup. She was started on a daily nebulizer treatment and it has helped so much. The pulmonologist was able to get us an as needed prescription for oral steroids so if she does start to sound “croupy” we can give her a dose at home and avoid waiting until she is bad enough for the ER.

Love Ya'll! If he can get his tonsils removed I would total go for it. I really wanted mine removed because I kept getting sick and the doctors finally cleared me for the surgery. I think it will definitely help in the long run. It's still helping me.

Best to Lincoln ... wishing him a speedy recovery so he can play hard and return home ! Bonnie is so calm and collected, if it was one of my kids I would be on the first plane home... everyone reacts differently not judging just saying I nor my husband would not have been able to hold it together and we travel a lot with the kids and without ... so yeah in short it’s very hard when your kids get sick period and especially difficult when you are away! Best to them and again wow you handled it well and 👍 that you have such a kind and responsible sitter 😊

Try asking a doctor about Lincoln possibly having asthma!! My son kept ending up on the ER with the same thing. Then they started him on regular puffers and since then he hasn't gotten that bad!

I’m sorry for Lincoln. I literally had my tonsils out 4 days ago. I feel bad in the morning but near the end I feel better! I was like I AM NOT HAVING IT DONE MUM. If Lincoln gets croup often you should talk to your doctor about getting a nebulizer for at home. When I was younger I would get croup all the time and I would have to go to the ER every time and get an albuterol nebulizer treatment, so my pediatrician decided to prescribe an albuterol nebulizer treatment for at home so we didn’t have to go to the ER every time.

It is so hard on momma and daddy when their kiddos are sick and they aren't with them. I can totally empathize with how that feels, Bonnie and Joel. I hope that Lincoln and Cody (and Olivia and Boston) are healthy soon. As least you know that they are in excellent hands with Bre! His oxygen level is scary low! They typically don't like anything below 95% in kiddies. The good news is that usually as fast as these viruses come on they leave just as quick, so here's hoping that is the case. If it were me, I’d have dropped everything and gone to be with my child. I almost lost my son when he was 3, to and unknown illness. Those days in the hospital, not knowing if he was going to survive , were single most terrifying moments of my life. Having your very young child admitted to the hospital is a pretty big deal. I’m not saying this to throw shade, only to give you an example of how every parent is different, and maybe don’t be so short with Onahway. #diffrentstrokesfordiffrentfolks

He’s had croup before and Bree was awesome to update Bonnie on it the whole time plus the grandparents are there for support.
