You can probably do multiple branches with different leaves pattern and put them in a collection and use this collection instead of just one mesh, add some scale randomness may be even weight painting to control the spread of the branches

There were so many puns in this tutorial I started over-analyzing everything you were saying because the way you were delivering your lines sounded like a set-up. It was a bit distracting because it felt like you were looking beyond the root of the tutorial and couldn't leaf the puns alone. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but if every tutorial is like this I might need to branch off to some other youtubers.

Nice tutorial. However the leaves leave a lot to be desired. I wonder if there is another/better way for them?
@cg_cookie4 жыл бұрын
It really boils down to how much time you're willing to spend on them. For more intricate leaves, some more fine tune modeling will likely be required. - Chunck :)
@floatingmonkeyhead9394 жыл бұрын
Eventually fine tuning with weight painiting could do the trick

Try importing an alpha hashed image texture of a leaf/branch as a plane and modify to your liking. This makes the material side of things a lot smoother also.

Getting pissed off with my feed being filled with 'Premieres' SET REMINDER and its growing to the point where I have to search my feed for content i can watch now, so now its an instant unsub when one of these lands in my feed, I love your content, and with any luck some of your future work may end up in 'up next' - just thought you should know
@cg_cookie4 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Appreciate the candid feedback. We're still figuring out the premiere feature. Do you think it's better to have a shorter premiere window, or simply not use it at all in your case?
@vizionthing4 жыл бұрын
@@cg_cookie I jump on CG cookie's videos as soon as they are posted, the whole premier systems seems to be completely pointless unless it's used for live streams, I'd be much happier if I could just turn it off my end and as far as I can see there's no way for me to do that, I'd be happier if it was not used regular posting.
