I like the new form you gave it. It looks simpler and if one where to see it in person I'm sure one could feel the simplicity of it. ☺️

Experimenting and taking chances is the only way to perfect an art. Nobody ever learns by being too scared to mess something up. There’s always another tree

well done sir, nice tree, As i have noticed that you have a lot of Premna Microphylla bonsai and material as well, what about the premna odorata, can we make it also into a bonsai? thanks for sharing your informative videos sir more power.
@BonsaiIligan8 жыл бұрын
+Jhun Espinosa Yes but the Premna Microphylla can shrink its leaf size a lot better than any other Premna variety that is why we favor them. We have Odorata here also in our place but I did not make a bonsai from them anymore because of the large leaf.

I realy like your work . Its a hard prune but with care i think its ok. Can you tell me how you keep a big cutting like this alive and let it root ? geetings from Austria
@BonsaiIligan7 жыл бұрын
Depends how vigorous your specie is some resent this action. Plant in coarse material to facilitate Drainage and Aeration, this is the key to rooting. Tie material to pot to prevent movement, put in complete shade till new shoots becomes brown at the base. water regularly. no fertilizers for now except rooting hormone.
@demacherius17 жыл бұрын
Realy ? I always thought i put it in fine material to keep it moister. Mostly I use coconut soil for rooting. I realy have to try your technique thanks for sharing.
@raritica84097 жыл бұрын
Miky Schuster it makes sense to keep space in the soil. The roots wont have to work hard to grow out.

very nice raw material! if it possible to ship to U.S. from there?
@Luckma19 жыл бұрын
how did you treat the cutting before planting it in soil?
@BonsaiIligan9 жыл бұрын
+Luckma1 When I bought this material it has lots of roots already, with thick primary branches which I cut back to grow new branches to attain taper. But when I start newly collected materials for rooting I usually apply rooting hormone (liquid) directly sprayed to the base before burying in ground. Or I soak the material in water with rooting hormone the night before.
@Luckma19 жыл бұрын
sry there was a miscomunication, i meant the small part you cut of and planted in soil. It seemed it had no roots as it was freshly cut. Is root hormone enough when there are no roots at all? Thank you for your answer!!
@BonsaiIligan9 жыл бұрын
In my climate yes, Im in the Philippines, Hot and Humid but you have to put it under shade itll shoots have grown out about 4 to 6 inches long. As of today the shoots are about 1 cm long.

+Luckma1 But the best way is to air layer them.
