Great tips Jelle. We've recently had some coldish weather, -4c but now we've spiked to 16c with heavy winds and rain. Thanks for the video

Rollercoaster weather, here too. But more substantial frost is forecast for the next weeks so today I put all trees to the ground, so I do nto have to lug them in the dark.

Thank you so much Jelle! I never knew how important fall work was until I started bonsai. I do need to improve spray application - spring insects woke up very hungry this year. I've tried your recipe and am really happy with it.

Great to hear! I do wish we get a decent winter reducing the spring loading a bit too.

Thank you for the recipe. You make it look easy, wiring the little branches. Those are the ones I have a hard time with.

Great information Jelle! I think I will try your recipe! I will look after as I lost heat in the trailer and everything froze last night. Now I must do crazy transfer to the house and get the outdoor trees into the trailer. They have a few inches of snow now. I will send some snow your way ok! 😂🤭

hahaha, well, thank you. How cold does it get for you?

@GrowingBonsai We, in a normal winter, will go into the -30s Celsius. Often have a two or so week span -40 and colder Celsius. The zone label here is 3a/3b. Last winter the coldest day was -27C unusual to be that warm in winter.

As always, awesome content, Jelle! Can the same solutions be used on coniferous trees?
@GrowingBonsaiКүн бұрын
Dont remove all the foliage! Pruning and wiring and cleanup, yes. Although.. Keep them on the dry side afterwards as less foliage is less evaporation is wetter roots

Hello Jelle. For how long do you leave a repotted bonsai in a Shaded Area or in a Semi Shaded Area & then place it in an area where it gets full sunlight? Thank you.
@GrowingBonsaiКүн бұрын
normally they go back to where they were, unless I do. summer repot, then i might gove them 2-4 weeks protection

I had to check, but it seems you are complaining that I did not reply to your message within 24 hours? You do realize this is not my job? I share what I know for free and in my own time, without a charge for you. And you then complain that I have not responded to your message? Guess what, I have a backlog of several hundred messages, as it can take over an hour per day to respond to each of them. I do not have an hour a day to spare. And in the weekend, guess what.. I work on my trees. With 32 comments on this video alone in 24hrs... maybe you could have imagined I do not answer within minutes. I do have a life besides youtube.

Just realize that if you have someone who runs a youtube channel such questions come in all the time. I daily get emails with such questions. As I do not run a company I have no way to monetize such requests and in the end, the more I do for others, the less I can do for my own trees. And with a few hundred trees.. Do you not have a club in the region or a bonsai nursery where you could get some help? I am pretty swamped for the next 3 or so weeks tbh.
@BenshobbyStuff3 күн бұрын
@@GrowingBonsai lol mate im not asking for monetising the tree. :) i think the acer is 1 of a kind.. look if you dont want to see pics of it fair enough.. ill have to find someone that can lend me a bit of imagination as its a big project that could use some different opinions. especially with a 13inch nebari :)
