I was just looking at Vaypor G's yesterday and didn't like the color ways. I really like the grey, though. Also, for your channel size, you do an amazing job at working with brands, man. I always assume you have a couple hundred thousand subscribers from how many brand integrations you get. It's super impressive.

Hey man! Yes these new vaypor G looks great!! (available in the next week or two what I've been told). I mean, i LOVE products, test out new things, review gear etc... a bit like MKBHD for for cycling. Some people don't like seeing this many product on my channel, but at the end of the day I don't really care. I love talking about them and educate people on what I love and hate about products :) Maybe one day i'll reach that 100k mark, we'll see!

@@CharlesOuimet You'll definitely hit it. I appreciate the reviews. I don't think most people have the time or money to check out all of these products and most local bike shops (here) just try to sell you stuff to get you out of the door. I got some lun grapids because of your channel and I've been pretty happy with them.

Three standard colours for 2022; black, Reflex Ghost (grey/silver) and Reflex Havoc (charcoal). Reflex is the label given to any of our shoes with the retroreflective material

@@CharlesOuimet How do you like the Helix compared to the Vaypors? I have the vapor S, thinking about trying out the Helix for the next, but concerned the single boa on the helix may not be as adjustable…

@Charles Ouimet I ordered the hologram ones, and they make those to order, so I need to wait a bit for them. I have an old pair of A2s, so the sizing has changed since they made those.. I had to go up a size. I'm wearing my Lake's till they get here, figure sometime next month. What's that saying, good things come to those that wait.

Have new Bont Helix….. the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever worn in 25yrs of riding and racing …even though they are heat mouldable and I’ve done it several times.

Man I hate the bathtub design, I bought a Bont shoe to try it and after 15km I had a bloody toe, and the "moulding" just didn't work even at 2x the warmth they should be mouldable, honestly they suck for me!

Unfortunately it sounds like the size and width was incorrect. As Charles has pointed out, our shoes are very unique and this isn't always suitable for every foot shape.

Bont are the only ones who do heat molding hey, did you forget about Lake shoes? Is it all white when your half the heal cup is black from the carbon? To be honest I don't buy the bath tub effect. The cleats are under the balls of our feet so how does having carbon around your toes, heals and side matter? Your power isnt going there is it or have I missed something here?

You're right I forgot about Lake. For the bath tub effect, the reason why I think is better is when you reach high level of cycling, you really learn how to almost push more front and back rather up and down. this lead to a better 360 degree constant power output around the crank rotation. So yes toes and heals matters if you are pedaling using that technique! But shoes are very very personal, so it's a matter of fiding what works for you!

@@CharlesOuimet You don't, problem with bathtub shoes is that your toes can rub against the carbon the side, I had a bloody toe after 15km trying one and the moulding didn't do anything, heck the carbon didn't move even using 2x the heath! Lakes are so much more comfortable because they have a lot of shoes in very different sizes and width so you can choose what fits you best!

The difference is more around the areas of heat moldability. Our carbon fiber 'chassis' is entirely heat moldable, from the forefoot to the heel cup. The reason for our particular shaping is about providing stability throughout the entire stroke with lateral forefoot support, structural arch support and heel cup. The Bont Cycling design premise focussed on performance and injury prevention. The 'bath tub' construction is all about supporting the foot so to better align your knees, hips and back. As Charles also eluded in his comment, there's a lot going on apart from downward force. This chassis shape also allows us to provide a 3.6mm stack height which not only gets the foot super close to the pedal spindle (for improved stability) but also creates a more rounded pedal stroke. 👏
