Bontrager Betasso 45mm Gravel Bike Tire: Rough And Ready.

This looks like a robust tire, and it probably has its purpose. I'll stick to my Gravelkings. The 45mm version inflates to almost 48mm on my rims with 24 mm inner width, and it weighs under 500g for the X1-R.

I have been super impressed with the new gravel king compound but I also love my girona’s for a lot of what we do here in SoCal and was way more grippy then the tread pattern would suggest. I was also wanting to try these haven’t had a chance yet.

I had the Bontrager XR1 in a 50mm and those were a great tire. I never got to try the XR0, but a buddy like that too. We both agreed the tires we had were comfortable, they were dual 120tpi casing if I recall correctly.

Yeah...120 TPI is usually more compliant and more costly as well. gg

@@oldguyandabike Just looked it up I paid the same price for the XR1 as what the Betasso cost. Talk about costs savings. I think the weight was the same as the 45mm Betasso but I don't remember as I got those tires in 2019.
