I love seeing your yarn haul and was almost drooling at the yarny beauty. I'm rejoicing in your excitement sister and don't you dare feel self conscious or feel guilty and I especially love that you were gifted that yellow ochre yarn. How fantastic! A yarn haul is like a kid being in a candy store and you can't get all of the candy but you love looking at it anyway. Then you take the bag of candy and show it to your buddies. We are your buddies😊

Ruth, pay no mind to mean people.....I can't imagine anyone being mean to someone as sweet as you, with such a kind heart. And you are right, if someone doesn't want to see what you bought then skip ahead. it's easy enough. no need to be rude. I think people have forgotten how to be nice these days; how to talk and respect to another person. it's all complaining even if it is something so small as a skein of yarn. Be nice and pass it on!

Hi! I LOVE EVERY PODCAST. So much fun to watch. Please include yarn discussion in every podcast. It show cases different types of yarn, from different countries. I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I am educated by your yarn discussion. I can download any pattern but with expensive shipping, I can not experience every yarn. Your descriptions are perfect. Ignore those nasty comments. Dont discuss them, as gives them an audience. Have a wonderful day

I truly don't understand people who write negative comments, what possibly could be negative regarding yarn acquisitions? My mom and dad taught me never say something about someone unless you could say it to their face. If these people stood in front of you would they make those comments? Not likely! Enjoy what you do and ignore the negativity! Most of all enjoy those acquistions, it's your channel if they don't like it they can move on!

Dear Ruth! I love watching the akquisition section in podcasts. You describe yarns very well. As someone from Europe I likely won't ever see most in person- especially those from handdyers, but I do enjoy seeing what is out there, just as I enjoy seeing patterns and projects. It's inspiring (though also spreading knitting vires 😂) It's fine to make a seperate video for a larger haul, such as after a yarnshow, but yarn akquisitions are part of the standard knitting podcast format. Everyone is free to skip parts or not watch a video. I hope it doesn't get to you too much. You're doing great ❤❤❤

Hello Ruth. I only found your site recently and have really enjoyed the few presentations I have seen so far. I’m hurtling towards 70, was taught to knit when I was about 2, and haven’t really stopped since. So I was quite shocked that anyone could post unpleasant remarks about such an innocuous thing as yarn, knitting, works in progress - and the amount of stash haul someone may have (you should see mine!! 😳). Surely there are more appropriate sites where “nastiness” is acceptable, if that’s what people want to do. A site like this, to my mind, is there to help people enjoy their hobby, stretch their creative ambitions and suggest possibilities for other projects that might be of interest. So Ruth, I say in all sincerity, keep doing what you do. I, for one, have found it really helpful. And if any of the people who made unpleasant comments are reading this, please consider how you would feel should you be on the receiving end. Kindness is so much easier - and more rewarding - than being horrible.

I always love to see the things that other knitters have purchased. I learn about new suppliers that I haven’t come across previously, and just find it quite inspiring to see the things that other people are making or have planned. Why people find it necessary to be nasty because it doesn’t interest them is a mystery. It is too easy to sit behind a keyboard and make hateful comments.
