However, if they want more people to buy what they're providing, then they got to make it a good product [spend more time developing it and doing some free public playtesting] instead of pushing out a bad-quality game this early into development and expecting players to buy it/buy the products from it when locked behind a paywall. As a 1st time development project, I understand where they're coming from as they're probably still learning the ropes of developing a project, as well as the do's and dont's. And if players like what they're doing? They can feel completely obligated to help the project. But to players who don't like it, they may feel scammed. There's no way this dude used bloxburg for comparison. It was literally the heat of 2016 and 2017 roblox youtube because it was actually polished in order to be the kind of game it was always meant to be. And it was quite revolutionary compared to other sims/life simulators on roblox at the time. No wonder it's still so popular today, as it always had good baseline to stand ontop with every update. Honestly, the dev list to me makes it look like they just added a bunch of their friends to the project for whatever reason, presumably to try to make all their friends some cash. You can argue that they needed a guy or two to do some of the effects and stuff the main devs couldn't, but they just slap a bunch of people onto stuff that would only really take one guy, assuming the devs couldn't do it themselves. For example, they have four UI designers, four assisting scripters, and three level designers. Why would you ever need FOUR people to design the UI? You can argue that the lead devs couldn't do it all you want, but there is ZERO reason they would ever need to have more than one guy on a job like that. Or another one, why would you ever need four assisting scripters for an obby game? The only reason I can ever see them needing four people that aren't their friends is if they just added people without doing any checks over their skills or background, and just kept adding people until they found someone who actually knew what they were doing. Either way, there shouldn't anywhere near that amount of people, especially for stuff like UI design. This isn't a super hard project, there are plenty of devs who can do all of this on their own, minus the voice acting. It really just seems like they heavily bloated the amount of devs on the project for whatever reason.

Man... these developers clearly have no appreciation for the art of making bowls. They make a mediocre bowl that's hardly better than other bowls, differing only in appearance, market it as a "fancy and super practical" bowl, then overcharge for it. When people complain about the flaws in their bowl, they laugh and say their bowl is just too good for them to use properly. This is fucking stupid. Obviously a bowl can't be too good for someone, because everyone should know how a bowl works. The developers of Tower Bowls created a bowl that exists solely to piss people off and scam them. This bowl is not worth the money. They will laugh at people who have realized their bowl is inferior, then refuse to improve that bowl while acknowledging the flaws in their bowl.

Tower World's developer's response is very immature and unprofessional. They should've known how to make a proper response, this is what I learned from their mistakes: 1. Know your opposition. TW devs barely even know Eclipse's existence before making the video 2. Don't be a hypocrite. The opposition can easily point out and destroy your credibility 3. Be professional. Having your developers talking in Discord vc is not a sign of professionalism. It'll leave a lot of rooms for mistakes that your opponent can point out 4. Keep your cool. Nobody likes to hear a baby crying and complaining for 30 minutes straight 5. Don't use personal attacks when you're having a professional argument. Early access costing money because "we don't want people to see the unfinished product" is a lazy lie and a scam. As a small developer in a small dev team, we have early access but it is free to play (you just need to join the group) so not everyone sees it either (our game isn't even in Alpha yet). Ultra kill like you said is not inside of Roblox so it wouldn't be a good example when you are trying to compare it to a Roblox game (I'm gonna assume you meant to compare tower world), tower world. A good example of a paid access game inside of Roblox would be car crash simulator 2, (mainly because it's the only real one I can remember) car crash simulator 2 was in paid access for a good while. It did provide good content and quality for being in alpha/beta. Tower world is in alpha and is paid access. You are paying to play test a game basically and said game is unfinished enough for it to be public and it's being worked on. You can't compare paid access games on Roblox because there development in terms of being finished vary. Of course a game that's been paid access alpha/beta for like 9 months (also it was a remake so it already had a ton of content done.) is gonna provide better content than a game like tower world (which I think it's been three months since it has became paid access) due to the amount of time. Pretty much you can't compare Roblox Early access games because most of the time the game is finished and just lies about being early access to keep making money (bloxburg did this for multiple years) or the games actually in early access and isn't even 56% completed.

Heres the main issue with their arguments of "We need to pay our devs". Its w fundamental of game studios and how they work. To start a game you need a budget. That budget is what you have to do every in the game. You are, essentially, putting that budget up as a wager after you finish the game to say "I believe this game will make more money than I put in". If this succeeds the. Great, youve turned a profit. Either walk away with you spoils or invest it in a new game. If your game is NOT making a profit that doesn't fall on the players. As much as it hurts seeing you baby fail thats part of the game. You can't sell a product people don't want, then raise the price (or in this case set a price) and expect sales to go up. It just drives business away because "oh wow look why would i want to buy theses expensive gamepases if i have to pay for the game. What if i don't like it?". It goes against the free to play's profit scheme
