Hi, (former) lead developer of the Combat Rework here. The combat rework had to make a lot of compromises to even release, and was a tremendous undertaking to even get out in the first place. To be honest, I am not happy with the state it released in, and I think it could have been better, but it released the way it did because of things that happened internally. It could have been way worse though. I do have my own personal gripes with the combat rework that I will list out real quick, however. 1. Heat / Meter seems to be non-sensical now in the combat rework. In the heat bar, the bar is separated into 3, and moves were originally supposed to adhere to these 3 bars (i.e. KC's time erase would require 2 bars filled). However, this convention was broken in the released version, and a fair amount of moves now have non-sensical meter requirements (as seen on STWR as pointed out in the video), and because these requirements do not adhere the mentioned convention, there a needless amount of complexity added by having to remember how much meter is specifically needed for a lot of moves. 2. Parrying looks to be a split second decision made to replace the original perfect blocking system, which just gave you intangibility and allowed you to release your guard instantly to follow up and attack. Whatever reason there may be is beyond me, as a lot of moves were seemingly not rebalanced with it in mind, such as the Barrage being parriable when that wasn't the original intention in the first place. Also.. there were assets made for perfect blocking, effect and sound, and they don't seem to be present for parrying which is... weird. 3. There is a HUGE gap in quality between some of the new movesets, and the older legacy movesets from before the combat rework. This was going to be a problem no matter what unless everything got remade, but there was little to no initiative to try and smooth over the transition in a lot of cases. Some converted movesets feel outright worse than their old ones. Even if you ignore those, there is a general sentiment shared among members of the community that a moveset like The World is lower in quality compared to something like The World: Over Heaven or King Crimson. 3. More moves were meant to have superarmor and hyperarmor, which is present on the movesets I have made (King Crimson and C-Moon), but it doesn't seem like a lot of the other moves got the same treatment. I do personally find myself to be discontent with the way the combat released, mainly because there was more I was going to do for it originally before I left, and some of the changes made after I left do not fit my original vision. Regardless though, I'm glad you found the combat rework to be a good stepping stone. As for what comes after, I have no idea. The direction of AUT pretty much shifted when I and several other people left overnight, and as a result, all the original plans for what comes after (mainly in relation to PVE) are radically different now. It's hard to feel optimistic for the future of AUT either when the remaining developers are pessimistic and dreary about the game's future though, which is not a good sign in any way. We'll just have to see though. Anyhow, the positive reception to the combat rework is nice, as it is something I have put tons of effort into before I left, so fingers crossed on where the game goes from here after my departure.

I don't really know what happened inside the dev team but it seemed like you were doing all of the work efficiently whilst having an extraordinary communication between testers and the community the past months, before you left. Right now kur rarely even interacts with the community and I think Nub is not managing every other developer in a good way, I have to agree with the fact that the quality of recent reworks after your departure have been decreasing a lot. Despite them announcing many future updates, I doubt the work they'll put in will be as impactful (positively) as yours.

they just gotta balance the stands and make some animations easier to read (like pluck from hamon) because some of them are IMPOSSIBLE to parry because of how weird and fast they look (delete yone and yasuo m1 hitboxes immediately!)

@@HatingOnEverything Well the common bugs we have are the animations, dtwhv breaking (unless they fixed it already), flipping over and being stuck on the ground for a solid 3 seconds and apart from that i didn't notice anything else. They will surely fix all these in the bi-weekly updates or one by one within a week. The only thing i can imagine will break is maybe hitboxes or the ai on thugs or bosses.

7:52 Shadow Energy Explosion can be used during your opponent's combos, say if you are being barraged, you can activate it and deal some damage while escaping your opponents instant -90% hp combo.

Thank god for bringing up the cancelable aspect. Between that and high meter half the moves in the game feel like they legit aren’t worth using, they either get canceled and take half your meter, or some random move was given meter that doesn’t need to have it ( just like the stwr knives you mentioned

yeah not to mention if there’s a global timestop cooldown and you’re unaware and try to use timestop, the game flips you off, makes it to where you use the move without even using timestop and just takes your bar and makes you wait for the cooldown

Even if there's basically no main game content added with this update, I'm still really liking the game now. I'm one of those players that mainly looks for fun and engaging combat with these sorts of games, and old AUT just got really boring really quickly. You'd basically: stall > get your 4 minute long combo > repeat, and that just isn't fun. This combat rework now rewards you for actually *playing the game* and it even punishes you for stalling (you lose meter if you don't get hit or don't hit your opponent for a while). Overall, this was a much needed update for AUT, and I hope they add some more main game content once they iron out the kinks a bit.

I know they plan on properly converting the rest of the specs and stands to the new combat, but the game has been losing so many players at this point that they just had to release something. I get why it is what it is, but it still sucks.

AUT combat rework was fun... but I've got one question. They made a heat gauge; why do so many strong moves not use it? Locke Kingslayer, The World Bloodsuck, and Hamon Luck stab are all free, armored grabs that bypass block and cost 0 heat. Each stand/spec has me asking "why does this cost no heat?" To at least one of their moves. Once they fix the heat issue, I think the combat rework will feel a whole lot better

Something a lot of people haven't talked about is how if you don't have enough heat for a move and you press the key and your opponent damages you while you hit the key for the move, the move cool down will still activate. And I don't know how this is possible but I genuinely think twoh got even worse lol. No knives no range no healing move lower aoe and small combo potential. And B is only slightly slightly better than old J.

I think it was funny how I felt as though I was way better off using stand off The World cause I had three really good 0 heat moves (kick barrage, blood suck, and checkmate) meanwhile with stand on The World, basically all the moves cost heat and had less reward, so...

@@sepphix8510 Also if you try to time stop and the global ts cooldown is active, you ts will still go on cooldown. Btw new twoh hasnt healing but it does have knifes

confused is definetly the right word to use. people got too used to the old aut since the update took like what? a year? so the sudden change in pvp that is really unique and too different to the old aut really meesed with most players. but give them a bit of time to fix out a few things and for us players to learn and figure out the new pvp and this game might be worth playing again.

As an outsider who occasionally hops on AUT and see the changes, AUT feels like a very long and public early access/in development game that will eventually release in its full glory. It took a while, but AUT is starting to approach its own combat that is genuinely fun and I could get hooked on. But now that the basics of combat is starting to be finished (still incomplete but we'll get there). The next part of the game's development needs to take place before I feel the want to join and play AUT. That's the progression system. The following is basically my idea on a potentially good system for AUT to have content with. I was extremely disappointed with their initial grind system, because I was expecting something akin to YBA or Arcane Odyssey's story and combat-based progression. But instead I got A Bizarre Day's "1,000,000 damage taken" type quests, which honestly feels more like a placeholder because they didn't have the time to accomplish all their ambitious goals. But I have a feeling, as long as the devs keep at this, and they have been for a VERY long time (respect to them, they are actual mad men for working so long on this because they want to) AUT is gonna be one of the best games in its finished form. But that'll probably take 10 years unless they actually beeline the story and progression well. I'm not very hooked on stand collector games for very long, so dont keep the placeholder ABD quests and content please. They really suck. Even a bandit beater progression type would be more fun than... Deal 1,000,000 damage and take 800,000 damage after waiting 5 years for gathering 11 orbies... SOME stands can be dependent on random items, sure, but most of them REALLY should not. My idea of a solution is make a general, fun way to grind for all the stands right now, then slowly work on each stand's short story and questline. Or make a LONG general storyline, that lets you choose from a set of stands based on your style of fighting throughout the journey or something (maybe if you reach certain requirements throughout the storyline, you unknowingly unlock the option to choose a stand by the end of it like a Rogue-like game where you have 3 options of stands at the end). Something, ANYTHING is better than "Do 1,000,000 damage", or get 3 of an item that only has a 1/292198283 chance of spawning per hour. Temporarily, you could do a short storyline, multiple enemy types, then grinding those guys OR players for progress to get an arrow that randomly gives you a stand. At least until the solid story/content and progression is finished. I still think a storyline that at the end lets you CHOOSE out of a few options is better but is the end goal with the previous suggestion being the new placeholder temporarily rather than... Do 1,000,000 damage. A nice option would probably be "Complete this main storyline in a different way to have a different set of stand options". Like you chose to kill someone instead of sparing them, and also reached the dodge requirement to then potentially unlock King Crimson, brutal, ruthless, and dodging, and two other stands that are similar in nature based on other choices, both in gameplay and story-wise. Then, the story is expanded upon every time the devs add a stand to the mix (a different path option, such as sparing or killing a new enemy, doing a specific action enough, etc. but never FORCE them to do it, only if they DO do it, they will unlock the choice for a new stand). In the end, you will have a single, repeatable, long-ish, interesting and more importantly FUN storyline, that feels unique to you because the set of stands you chose at the end are from YOUR decisions and playstyle. You also have the option of "grinding" for a specific stand you want to try by searching it up on how to complete the storyline in a way that gives you that stand option. This way, you still sneakily technically have "heavy hit someone 15 times", but with the context of the story to back it up. For example, the REASON you are heavy hitting this one npc so much, is because he is a piece of garbage human that committed a horrendous crime that you encounter in the storyline. So in your rage, you heavied him 15 times before finishing him, leading to you unlocking the option for Crazy Diamond, as an example. You WANT to heavy this npc 15 times, but if you didnt know and you dont want to, you can just move on with the story and never unlock the option for Crazy Diamond. But if you never knew, and you just were invested in the story and hated that character THAT much, the story REWARDS you for it with a stand that fits your style. It also helps the developer determine the direction of the stand they are working on. By basing it around the context of HOW you unlock it in a story, they can better determine its kit and abilities, almost like a stand arrow giving you your fighting spirit.... Anyways This would be an insanely unique and original idea on the take of progression. But it is HIGHLY dependent on the execution of implementing it by the devs. Imagine the reason why it's called AUT is because at the end of the storyline, maybe the world is ending, and you have to reset it, resulting in you being judged by the universe and granting you a choice of 3 stands based on your journey. Every time you reset and redo your journey, it's an alternate, yet universal time. But before all that, they still need to finish the combat for all stands and balance and polish that. TLDR: Polish the combat, they're close to it. For content, replace the current quests with a general short story and a way to grind stands randomly equally. Then, work on the MAIN story and code/expand it so that if you react or do certain things in the story, it influences the choice of 3 stands to choose from at the end of the storyline. Gives a fun and interesting way to play and grind for stands than "Do 1,000,000 damage". Also make the storyline FUN and different enough to play through, because after repeating it enough times, itll get boring. Also, if you don't want to, still give it a thought, I just want to see it in the world more than anything, because it might be fun. Got more specific ideas but this comment is already really long...

i used to be mad at Eclipse for getting the combat changed with all the V2's, V3's and so on but honestly i'm glad he did all that stirring it genuinely got me mad when i tried it, but after 2-3 hours of testings and i realised how much more skill based it was than before *coming from someone that had thousands of hours in the old combat, you made my personal favourite game be even better (indirectly) :D

For me personally, being able to lab out niche tech that nobody cares about was fun… but I understand that just makes the game unfair for people who already don’t wanna spend the time practicing combos. I just wish the combat rework had more.. depth? It’s just m1 and uncancellable move spam rn, with an op Timestop thrown it.

​@@MissingHunter having those kind of "techs" doesn't make a combat "deeper" just unfun for both parties (one getting a ban, and the other one having to live through that shit), and the "It's just m1 and uncancellable move spam" niche, it's obvious, the combat wasn't polished on it's release and half the stands came out either too bad, or too op, but there used to be an intention to balance out each stand to basically make sense with the status quo of the rest. TL:DR: Holy shit AUT devs suck on organizing.

​​@@blank7871 wdym for me it's fun atleast and all the people I fight find it fun plus if we don't understand something we try to use our brains to figure it out or just yknow ask people Plus you can still learn how to counter hyper armour spam like I did even if it is half baked in some areas ya gotta agree the combats way better then before hand and for m1 spam just block 💀 or use a hyper armour move Speaking of hyper armour you can't really call it spam all the time exept for ashen,dawn, yone and Yasuo most hyperarmour moves are slow so it's either you fail to predict it and walk into it or you underestimate how they counter you when you use a move like kc being offensive with its hyper armour moves won't work mostly so they wait for you to slip up so the best thing you can do is bait them and punish

@@blank7871 the techs most of the time are not bugs… just oversights (like moves having a little too much stun). Imagine if old CW from YBA required tons of skill and practice, that’s basically what it’s like. Sure, it’s OP, but it’s balanced out by the skill required to get it consistent. Only a small amount of these “techs” are really just bugs being abused, but often times people put them under the same umbrella (ie. movestacking)

The combat in aut felt like a screw and a really weird screw driver but now instead of the acrewdriver we are using hammers it just feels like a cluster f÷/+ or random moves you cant use

I legit played and then got off, what's worse now is that moves just feel like dmg, like alot of unique moves in the reworks just feel like flat dmg and knock backs. Its boring as all hell. Before it sucked too, it just sucks less now

Personally, I’m glad they got the combat system on the right track now. Once they work out the kinks in it, we should be on track to start getting new abilities, gameplay, and things to do. I’m excited for the future of the game

It's like they don't test their game. I'm a developer and I really don't understand how this game can be so buggy every update, I mean the sound should be the same ID right? so that means that the code is bugged or they changed the sound id or the old sound got banned. Idk, it seems most of the game is unorganized and it's code from multiple developers that don't know how to work together. I can tell that everything is laying everywhere in places where they shouldn't be, there's a reason why the game can be very laggy sometimes. I would work on a jojo game but I already have my own games to update and I don't have time to solo a jojo game vs a billion other ones but if I were to create one I would focus on performance, security, combat and progression (stand progression, story with actually good npcs and story to keep the player excited) or an incentive to keep playing.

As far as i've played, the combat seems really fun to use with the new reworked stands like KC, C-moon and SP for example. I haven't tried the non-reworked stands but I believe if we give them time to rework all the stands, the combat will be at its finest.

SPTW right now is hit or miss. It either hits you and does 100 to 250 dmg with spammable burst TS. Or it does nothing as it has no combo options besides burst TS,spam rush and another move and end with the universal grab

Weather report became incredibly op due to the cloud suit allowing you just to run in and use any move to get a combo while other stands can’t do that

I personally think that the combat rework is a great improvement from the other "reworks" they did and just gives a different feeling to the game which allows low end players to actually have a decent chance of pulling out a combo. The heat bar is mostly pain in the ass but i kinda understand them adding cuz people would just run around till their cooldowns are off and spam the moves and then rinse and repeat

From my experience the new effects cause MORE lag. It’s more they are closing the skill gap by removing the requirement for players to learn long combos for a couple hours

@@MissingHunter learning combos don't require skill, it's just boring and repetitive memorization of simple patterns. actual skill is things like prediction, spacing, movement, learning opponent behavior, stress management, etc.

@@aqz7603 a lot of the old AUT combos required strange jank with skillful timing. For example, to combo off of SOL's T, you would have to time the E to the end of the move to combo off of it or the opponent will fall out. E comes out at different times depending on server lag, so it takes actual skill to determine when is the right time to use it

As a skauya player I like the combat rework zoning people out feels different? Idk it’s harder to keep your distance yet it’s easier to break out of an engagement? It’s strange I like it though as you said several times yourself this basically a complete 180, the way you should zone and the ease of zoning has been reversed wether that’s for better or worse well for me personally it’s better but for the people I’m fighting? I hear less complaining so I think they find it more fun I’d like to know what the people who have fought a zoner or two think about this

As a former AUT Tester who was fired for inactivity (even though i was active in testing everyday for an entire year, probably bias against me from some staff member) I thought the game had 0 hope because the devs flat out IGNORED half the bugs that occurred. it hurt watching eclipse say stuff like "Did anyone test this?" when we did, but were ignored. But now it doesn't seem like theirs a ton out there (I haven't played myself, i can't bring myself too) and I'm happy they actually deal with that now. Hopefully the devs keep that up, but if they don't i honestly won't be surprised. Great video as always eclipse, keep up the good work.

As someone who is insanely active in the AUT community, the update is great n all, though the lack of any new abilities that we never got to test kinda killed the hype. I understand why we had all these public tests for the update, but there was literally nothing new from the last testing session to release. had they not let us use Hamon or Locke till release, the update would have more hype I bet.

i'm amazed. i just love how the combat isn't just about stunning, and M1-ing, it's more skill-based. I just love the new gameplay and i'm gonna be happy with what i can work with. I'm new to AUT, and this update made me feel much more welcomed into this game, and i can't wait for more to come!

I think the rework was decent at most. The anims are broken and some stands aren’t useable but the reworks were cool. Doesn’t make up for the fact you can’t even see your m1s range and the fact your m1s don’t stun for as long anymore.

personally i think the fact of how many abilities were removed cuz of the rework is 1, your reasoning, they had to get this out like honestly they did, and 2, it gives us so much more hype, let me explain: remember how we used to beg for updates for aut, and whenever we got them, most of them? ok, cool, i liked this, but others were so boring, now that there's so many more abilities missing, it gives SOOOOOO much more opportunity for consistent updates, because as of the past 4 weeks, we've gotten some simple, ill have it, but good consistent updates. its really just a great change imo and works well enough, like if you're in the discord, seeing the sneakpeaks and polls for which abilities they choose to rework after the other for every next update, is just a good hype imo yeah, its, its a nice change, im no longer addicted to purely just skins anymore, honestly, i could give less a fuck with this new update, it definitely changed aut for the better

I think the Update is meh because yeah the combat/stand reworks are cool i guess but my main issue is that there is still not much to do and I see them teasing all that cool stuff on discord that never actualy got added this Update I just hope that they won‘t let us wait so long anymore because this Update wasn‘t worth the wait for me.

i feel like this combat rework has potential but also has some flaws, the most concerning one is the hitbox and the stuns, first the hitboxes are really good on the majority of the skills of very stand but they are almost imposible to hit while moving, other games use instead of one static hitbox they use like 3 or 4 hitboxes per move so you can land them while moving, now onto the 2nd flaw, stuns: this is pretty self explananatory because of how little they are, an example of this are m1s, that are completely useless now because you cant use them in combos and are just there to get cheap dammage and cancel moves.

here is my opinion on the new update. 1. combat system the combat system is great. the parrying system, grabs hyperarmour give an extra laver to game. The parrying could be better, since the stand's animations are so fast and exaggerated, but the blocking, block break system and pvp system is amazing as a whole. my opinion? make the grab/cutscene moves more reliable, (give it an extra few frames of hitbox) 2. new content not a lot of stands have been reworked for the time period, but the stand that did get reworked are absolutey amazing. the cutscenes feel "alive" and so badass that you're completely immersed in the combat, but for the other animations, they could use less work, and maybe more visibility. 3. final opinion the AUT update is a great, but the cancellable moves are somewhat of a pain to use. (bonus, tips) -always spam your hyperarmour. -learn how to parry -try to make escapable combos work, but if they block often try to use grab to counterattack -block more often

Oh btw, eclipse didn't mention one thing: abilities that weren't reworked this update are absolutely broken when compared to reworked ones. It's either sptw running around using tp attack move and quick timestopping instead of actually trying to approach the enemy, Yone/Yasuo forgetting that ability being uncancellable is a privilege, not a standard, or d4c barely being able to deal damage at all by clone spamming and countering (really, the moves are so freaking hard to land with that thing, evolving it into love train is practically mandatory).

The no sound thing is more likely that roblox randomly removed the asset. They do that sometimes. In ABA, Rengoku's clothes have been missing since 2 months ago. All he has on is his cape, which is extremely menacing and sus at the same time.

quick update: you cant use shadow explosion without meter anymore. (that means that you can use m1s, barrage, heavy and ground slam!!!)

Moves do have hyper armor, the main special ability of new stand "Locke" Is to literally infuse yourself with hyper armor, making you a berserk who does not care about being stunned. In return this costs 50 heat bar to perform, with other moves requiring to be used with heat gauge. When you see a player flash orange - It's an I frames. About king crimson, it has an eptipath with basically gives I frames for the entire duration of it. In other words those abilities are love train, but more powerful because you can attack at the same time. Another part of king crimson is Time skip - Blow, with after activation will perform a short duration and range also nearly impossible to spot time erase, jn rethrn player is still voulrnable and flashes red from time to time to indicate the activation of the ability.

Most of them are children, and children can't critically think. The adults, on the other case - are some sweats that play 2d fighting games that have heat meter in it. The heat meter itself is flawed and incentives to play fishing simulator to see who's first going to have an advantage. Because AUT is a 3d fighting game, the heat meter is NOT going to work well as it does for 2d games.

i’ve been having lots of fun, but the cutscene moves, and sounds definitely bothered me too, i was fortunate enough to play everytime they opened testing so i was able to get a good grasp prior to the update, my BIGGEST complaint is that Jonathan’s Hamon and lock were stuck behind 1million coins each, and neither of them had a questline

I feel like the 2 main issues with the combat rework is the balancing and the audience. The balancing of some things went way offrail. For example, Yasuo still has stupid long combos that delete your HP, while C-Moon's new rework beatdown (requires 100 meter) comes out slowly and has a tiny hitbox. I know they're working on it but they also have many more abilities to convert as well so it will take time. The audience is an issue, too. The combat rework is amazing and is a step in the right direction for the game. The thing is though, people are approaching the rework from the perspective of the old combat. It's not meant to be compared to that, it's meant to be a completely different system that works better for skill based mini-comboes rather than large 50-60% HP ones. Comparing them is like comparing a slice of bread to a circuit board.

i feel like the best way of knowing how to play this version of aut, is to play soulshatters. the game punishes you for messing up anything in the slightest, had the bar before aut did, has a parry system that punishes you but doesn’t murder you if you get hit, and having to play neutral to get your combos on while having your m1s punish YOU for not hitting the player. i’m pretty fine with the new system, it just fucked me when i realized that every move costs meter

AUT had a lot of PTBs that were open for a weekend. The first time I played it, I had already played the original game a lot. It was like suffering whiplash. After getting used it, I personally love the new combat, and I think that the game is in a healthy state right now. The stand reworks are hopefully coming out on a timely pace considering that they have stated that they’re making updates every two weeks. The Reaper and MIH reworks look sick based on the little info we have on them, and the biweekly updates should hopefully be able to course correct any missteps they make. This game has a ton of potential, and I hope they get this right.

I played, and wasn’t instantly mind blown, but as I played it a little bit more and more with some enthusiastic friends, I was able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for aut. Although it was a glitchy light, it was still great. Playing this update and killing some thugs, it was apparent to me that the seystem had changed for the better. I would honestly much rather get this update with all of the unusable abilities than keep aut the same. Overall, my favorite aut update so far

This rework definitely feels very confusing but after some time I got the hang of TWOH while getting killed by a C-Moon, hopefully they fix some stands like STWR since those stands are like Mr.P from YBA

I also played for a bit with my friend to try it out and we left after like 10 min. While the combat is way better then what it was there is absolutely nothing to do other then run around n fight Randoms. On top of that the fun abilities which some consider OP are completely gone. They did do a lot right but why remove abilities it gives people even less to do

The update was pretty good in my opinion but for almost a year they could of done better. Hitboxes on the world range from 50 centimeters to 6 meters. The world has become an offstand spam. The update added so many infinite combos so it's just so ridicolous to even try play now since you have 50/50 chance to even hit attacks.

eclipse i know how to fix the comabt system in yba or aut. Not evey stand needs a barrage only some stands who did a barrage in the show should get a barrage not stands like hg or mr and it should only be for 3 seconds. games like a bizarre day are great examples cause only some stands have a barrage and look at how good there pvp system is :)

Or for Star Platinum's case you can't use anything else unless that knockback finisher after the barrage ends. (Literally could've been 100% fix solution) But yeah some abilities DON'T NEED a barrage. (I'm looking at you Killua mains) KC has some ridiculous damage all because of m1s or that extra move on E button that knockbacks the enemies, making them unable to move at all. The stand looks like a heavy hitter overall, so it would make sense to have slow and yet high damage moves paired with some endlag as a way to punish for missing. Of course abilities with counter moves would get a advantage over a slow moveset but yeah.

In my opinion, I think aut is a lost cause, just send the developers to yba's fx team and call it good. But on a more serious note, most of these jojo games feel lacking in connecting with the community like how ABD truly accomplished. ABD obviously wasn't a serious jojo game, nor was it intended to be. It was like a hangout. Another thing was being creative with stand abilities instead of asking for an entire rework to a stand so you can play it, a game that reminded me of ABD but also had a more advanced pvp system was (I forgot the name, but it was like stand world rewrite or something) and that game was really fun, I enjoyed it a lot because there were unique abilities that catered to a specific category, Kars would be a rush down ability and mr president was a troll but also really effective for helping teammates because of a heal and trapping enemies. Those games were golden but when they feel oppressed by bigger upcoming games and hype surrounding it, they change the fundamental reasons for creating the game in the first place. TheGuestToBlame left ABD because it was becoming more and more of a job for him to keep it up instead of it being a project to work on when he wanted to, and the other jojo game changed its combat system to appeal to more competitive types and stay relevant, but like all competitive games, they eventually die out, and it's openly apparent with recent jojo games because one bad move lands them into a pile of crap that they wouldn't have to deal with if not for it being a side project to work on, the pressure of being one of the big guys on a popular site gets to them and it's really heart breaking for games that didn't understand that they were in the good old days to realize that once they see the player count drop to new low, they can't help but spit out a bunch of progressions that ultimately go nowhere. A part of me wants AUT to be reborn into a competitive game, but I doubt it's going to be able to succeed, so I hope they end it off on a good note.

I agree with you, most moves on your stand/spec needs meter which literally makes no sense at all, only moves I feel like should need meter are time stop, time erase, beatdowns, time movement, and awakenings. those are the only moves that should need meter.

Here's a rant: I despise AUT, I started playing it right before it got extremly popular with a bunch of friends, we all had fun and thought of it as a version of ABD with more interesting stands and a lot more bullshit grinding, but then after a while, they reworked the entire game and removed everything I had only to replace it with Nocturnus, I hated that my HSTWR, reaper and shinigami got removed, but I still played a little bit to test out a few new specs such as gojo, but then they removed my Nocturnus as well, I never cared about it but it got me a bit pissed of, after that they added Killua, one of my favorite characters in anime, I grinded to get him and tried him out with a few friends only for him to get removed as well after a month or something, it really pissed me of that they've removed so much but since I'm such a simp for Killua I got him again, now this update they just broke the Killua spec completely forcing you to see as the hitboxes of the moves that work and also broke all other moves (around 80% of the moves don't work anymore at all). Yep this game suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure is good and 100% deserves it's player count (sarcasm if you can't tell). Aight odd of you if you read all this and even weirder if you got offended to the point of commenting on this rant.
