What is remarkable to me as I have watched this family interactions is how human their emotions are. For instance recently Simba has had to spend enormous stretches of time alone still completely dependent on his parents for food. Then when the food finally arrives mom and dad are not always in the mood to share. Simba reacted to this with what was termed by some as temper tantrums but I saw his emotions as justified from his vulnerable perspective. I believe Simba was communicating his outrage and the parents then began to be more aware of his needs. Human parents are not perfect and a child is often more aware of what is right and wrong than the parents. Here when Mom showed a caring spirit willing to share fairly her fish with Simba, Simba then rewarded her generosity with an equal act of generosity by offering her his secret fish stash. I do not see theses creatures as being so much different from us and they in fact demonstrate how close we are to them in spirit.

I'm still new to eagles, but this family is really special - are there others such as this? Simba loves his mom and his mom lives him so much. This is the first time Jackie's had so much one on one time with her baby as she lost 2, and Stormy went away with her dad Mr. BB. I thought eagles mated for life until one dies? YVW! Jackie and Simba's bond is so beautiful to witness! This is my first year watching this nest, but I had heard about Stormy & Mr BB. Maybe something did happen to Mr BB, I really don't know, but I had also heard they mate for life...One of the other Eagle Families that I watch every year is SWFL (Southwest Florida). Harriet and M15 are the parents. They really are experienced and their babies are full of personality, each in it's own way. Simba reminds me of one of theirs called E9, you may have heard of him ;)

@@DMStarXOXO - Oh yes, I've seen a few videos of him and does remind me of E9. Did E9 squee so much like Simba? I watched E12+E13 - after they were a couple of weeks old. Harriet+M15 make great parents. Jackie loves and protects her eaglets to the max, but I think she's now showing her softer/more subdued side with Simba because he's now older - getting ready to fledge. Shadow was excellent and so loving, but when Cookie passed - I don't think he was as much - maybe I'm imagining that. - Stephanie

@@SW13333 I'm glad you've seen E9, he squeed almost as much as Simba, and had a wonderful personality. Maybe it has to do with being an only "child". When there are two, they interact more with each other than with the parents it seems. I agree about Shadow, I think he was very much affected by losing Cookie & Mom kind of took over the rearing from that point on. She is really a wonderful Mother and a great Fisher-eagle!

Other viewers have just about said all there is to say, but knowing the little delinquent, it' is possible that he dug the other fish out hoping that mum would cut it into nice bite sizes for him :) If our little Simba were an opera singer, he would positively not need a microphone :) He certainly holds the title of most entertaining eaglet on KZbin!

He's a mad bomb diver is our Simba 😂 only discovered the Dynamic Duo in January so no intrest in birds etc as don't see bauld eagles in Ireland UK.But glad youtube was on autoplay as these 2 characters & SPIRIT Simba aswell ive went back to shadow before Jackie accepted him when a sub adult...Anyhoo Shadow more hair products in the secret nest 😂 Best looking & best Styled Fluffy head

That was a fish he had stashed. I think Shadow had brought it earlier and tried to take it away when Simba wasn't eating it, but Simba held strong! He has not taken his maiden journey yet, but it will be any day now. So glad you enjoy the videos, thanks for watching! ;)
