Boo Year 2 # 109 - Stella And Boo Almost Together Again, Hydrox Loves To Eat

Boo loves sitting on packing paper. I made 18 days worth of homemade food for Hydrox for about $25 which came to about 69 cents per meal. It’s quicker and easier for me to freeze it in scoops on sheet pans than to use ice cube trays. Boo smelled Stella’s paw and she didn’t like that. She then tried to make up for it but Boo didn’t trust her. Hydrox continues to eat will this winter.

Really great idea with the sheet pans. Your calculation of home made raw food versus canned food is awsome too. It takes time to make healthy food for your cats but the outcome is incredible. All the cats appreciate it so much. Boo is an adorable cuddler.

If you consider Boo is FIV+ and chances are Hydrox is as well they are both fit healthy cats, the home made with love raw food makes a difference in them even if compared to the shop bought raw food. That love makes the food extra special.

Well done with finding a reasonably-priced alternative for the kits' chicken, and in the process supporting a smaller local merchant. Have you asked them about the quality requirements for their chicken? Certainly most commercial canned food makes no claim to be organic, so yours is probably at least as antibiotic-free as those. Now that you know the cats like your recipes, you might also want to ask around about getting whole cut-up chickens (or turkey?) for even less; you are surely paying a premium for skinless/boneless cuts (and all that packaging), when you want a certain amount of bone in their diet. At any rate, compared with the cost of buying the commercial frozen, the grinder and freezer would be amortized very quickly for anyone who wanted to do this. Hydrox is feeling very special, now that he gets his full-to-the-brim bowls of homemade soup, followed by imported Sheba desserts! No wonder he is communicating more readily. Boo and Stella, warming up for Valentine's Day, dance the eternal ballet of love.

Poor Boo---all he wanted to do after sniffing The Queen's paw was to kiss it---and this is the thanks he gets. Is there a reason your still using the food processor rather than the grinder to make Hydrox's food? On the smaller grinder setting the meat would go through with less larger lumps that get processed again to make it suitable for Hydrox to eat. A small tip if you place the cookie sheets in the freezer for about an hour before you need them the cold trays with start to cool down the meat quicker. I'm glad the cats love the food you make and the results of the diet shows in the condition of the cats especially with Hydrox. Cuddles and kisses for the cats

@@semperfi818 you need to see Tarbelle soon or visit your local cat shelter. Anywhere cats need petting you have been away from cats far too long. Boo would like you petting him as would Simba. Stella depends how she feels at the time. Splash would have to be a brave boy but a massage would be good for him. Hydrox no one can pet till he wants LF to pet him first, hopefully it will happen soon. My Cleo would like petting and fall asleep on your lap given the chance, I've turned her into a snuggly cat. Oska loves being brushed her long fluffy fur needs extra care in winter

That was only one bag that was shown, there is 6 days of food per bag and there was 3 bags of food for Hydrox in total thats 18 days. So the total cost would be divided by 18 for the cost per day.

When I store it in the freezer above my refrigerator there is no additional cost to store it because the freezer is running anyway. The small additional freezer is 90W but it doesn't pull 90W constantly. The sticker on it said about $25 a year so that's about two dollars a month.
