ATI can also put magnets on the balancer shell. I had very little clearance on the front of my crank mandrel to all the msd wheel. They do an awsome job, the magnets are epoxied in and then a roll pin is install above the magnet to hold them captive.

really?! i have a blower so this is very ideal for my setup.. how much was it to get that done and how do you do it.. just call them? thanks!

@@shanesink8073 it's been years, I can't remember the cost, but that must mean it was reasonable. They ask you where your pick up is mounted and pointed, and subtract 60* if memory serves me right. I through the balancer in a box and included a note what I wanted and the numbers they wanted. They had it back to me in a couple weeks, mind you they're shut down rate now and making hand sanitizer. I don't regret doing it at all. Best of luck.

Any opinion of the 36-1 tooth iron wheel with Hall Effect pickup (Holley 556-115) vs the flying magnet hall effect setup? Would more pulses may be a benefit?

i prefer the flying magnet on high powered setups

Hi there from Australia, nice video, one question, you replaced the MSD sensor , is the reason that the one supplied from MSD not good or did you change to a different type EG : Magnet to Non magnetic. I am fitting Flying Magnet system to my SBC NA with MSD6 . Like to ensure all will be ok. . Cheers :)

This is the 3 wire hall effect sensor from Holley that's a direct drop in. Hall effect works better in my opinion www.holley.com/products/ignition/crank_triggers/crank_trigger_components/parts/554-118

Why is the MSD junk and the Holley better? Do they have the same plug or does it have to be changed to the box or visversa?

The holley sensor is a hall effect 3 wire sensor

Hello devin im putting together my first ever drag car im running a small block ford 351 dart block when i had my motor built i wanted to run between 1200 to 1400 + hp with a 200 shot of nitrous then i told the builder that i wanted to run on pump gas i threw a monkey wrench into the build right then but they did get me 800 +hp on 93 now as the build is progressing i decided i want to run a pro charger now my delema is as i was talking to a friend is i wanted to run a f-1A pro charger but my friend thinks i have to much compression the engine has 13.5 to 1 compression he is thinking i need to lower my compression to run a pro charger so he suggested i change my pistons or to try a different head gasket to lower it down he thinks i need to get my compression down to somewhere like between 10.5 to no higher than 12 do you think i can run a pro charger with my compression at 13.5 to 1 Im seriously trying to not open up my engine and change the pistons i have CHI 3V pro series heads
@BlytheLifeRacing3 жыл бұрын
You can run 13.5 compression with boost if you have the appropriate timing and fuel. If your trying to do it on 93 its not going to work out very well. If you were going to run nitrous you would have to do the same regardless.

@@BlytheLifeRacing i think i have the right stuff just not the knowledge holley efi ,v5 dominator ecu and top line everything else crank trigger the set up i have now dynoed at crank 804 hp on 93 pump gas and 1043 hp with 100 shot nitrous with 200 shot that its setup for i believe i can get 1200+ hp but it sounds like i will have to change my pistons or just stay where im at With my build

Also cylinder heads have come a long ways from earlier cylinder heads that detonated fairly easily. You can definitely run more compression these days. With the new technology combustion chambers we have now
