(Boogey Man Where?) #2 Ranked Kenneth Simms Jr. Raises his hand to solve the Subriel Matias problem!

During a recent interview on the Porter Way Podcast Title Contender Kenneth Simms Jr. says that after watching Subriel Matias make Ergashev quit on the stool. His Coach kept texting him "We can beat this guy". This would be a great matchup. Here are my thoughts.

Simms is ranked in the WBC not the IBF where Matias is champion. There are many fighters ranked by IBF that are more worthy and better than Simms-Ramírez, Taylor and even Prograis. Hitchins and Catteral don’t want to fight Matias and they are the two top ranked. Is there money in a Simms fight? Matias is now a champion and deserves at least $1 million. I think Ramírez would beat Simms.

All these boxers who call themselves the face of boxing, the more he earns, the more fans he has on social networks is not going to help them at all when it comes to facing Matias, he is not a normal boxer who dodges blows and that. But he has technique, don't fall asleep with Matias, he goes ahead and if you can't, you can knock him out. Bro Kenneth Simms Jr is 20-2 and not in IBF top 15. No way they make that fight. Having said that him or GAR one maybe they make. PBC showing Simms on the roster so who knows. Borroso the old man they robbed to give Rolly belt and now Borroso knocked out Ohara Davies and he got the middle belt. Simms fights Welter and Super Light both so not sure he will do IBF thing.

Kenneth Sims is an up-and-coming fighter. If he's considering facing Matias, he should test his skills against someone Matias has already defeated. This way, we can gauge whether he has the potential to take on Matias. There are better known fighters who should be Fighting Matias, not the first dog to bark his name.

Mark my words Kenneth Simms won’t last 8 rounds against that killer Subriel Matias. Him Simms Jr will not only get beat by Subriel he will get destroy punish he will end up quitting just like the other 5 last Subriel opponents. Since all 3 other champs are going to duck Matias, he'll have no choice but to fight contenders and mandatories. It would be best for his legacy to first fight former champions, namely Ramirez, Regis, Taylor or Puello. A couple of those fights would be good for his legacy. He should also fight the top contenders, like Barbosa, Russell, Hitchins and Lemos. Some of these opponents need to get ranked in the IBF, and for example Hitchins-Lemos is going to determine the next mandatory. It would be good to see Russell and Barbosa vs Matias' former opponents, Ponce or Ergashev, to get ranked. Then Matias could fight any of them. The celebrities will only discredit themselves by continuing to duck. Simms should get ranked in the IBF by facing any of the above. Paydays will come later.
