I worked with a guy who spent $70,000 to have all of his teeth pulled for dental implant replacements. The recovery was very painful, but his smile is now fantastic. Don't neglect your implants by not practicing good oral hygiene including swishing mouthwash between your teeth, because gum disease most likely can still cause your implants to fail if it affects your bone.

$35,000 per arch for implant retained full zirconia roundhouse restorations is the going rate, dentists sell it to older people mostly with a pitch like "would you rather be able to eat any food you want for the rest of your life, or buy a car that's worthless after a few years?"
@srboromir4525 жыл бұрын
@Grenherb Yes, in America. Everything is custom fit made from titanium and zirconia, and a lot of people with medical degrees have to sign off on everything. The entire 4-8 month procedure is pre planned with digital 3D mapping of your skull. You're getting something guaranteed to last 30 years of daily abuse Also there are $200 alternatives. Nobody is forced to pay $35,000

Dental pains from a bad tooth are the worst! The nerve in the tooth is constantly going through hell, sending pain/stress impulses to your nearby brain. Its a constant level of discomfort that grinds you down, everyday. Knowing that you've had to fight that for years and that there's and end in sight, it makes me really happy you can finally get some relief. Negligence or not, its a crap ton of pain and I wouldn't wish it on my enemies. I'm sure the new teeth will be handsome, but I've felt that same rotting infected pain before, so I know not having to struggle through the pain is a real victory, you deserve it. Glad to hear you are getting them taken care of! This past week I finally went in to the dentist to get some work done for myself. One of my teeth in the back was causing me tremendous pain, and it was very difficult to sleep at night. I also had a cavity between my front two teeth, and it was really getting to me. I work with the public at my job, and smiling is not only something that my customers appreciate seeing, but something that I myself do quite a bit. I honestly felt embarrassed. I neglected my teeth for a very long time, but thankfully the damage wasn’t as bad as it could have been. I’m more attentive to them now than I was before and a lot happier. Wishing you all the best Boogie!

As someone in the dental field the all on four surgery is amazing, you'll be extremely happy. That being said you need to take care of those implants more than you would teeth. Be extremely adamant about cleaning around them and going in every three months to get them cleaned and guarantee the survival and success of those implants. Teeth are held in place my ligament and are more resilient to tartar, implants are held in by osseointegrating into the bone, any tartar build up will begin to break down the bone around it. I am happy you are going for this and I hope it is a success and you are happy!

Even though it was due my employer taking shortcuts on safety and should have been covered by workman's comp, the employer had been pocketing the insurance money and closed business afterwards. Dental care is so expensive and dental insurance is a joke.... and no amount of brushing will correct broken teeth. It sucks when you have to go through life in constant pain... having to worry about what you eat: too hard, too tough, too sweet, too hot, too cold. Hey Boogie! That is so nice to hear, I am extremely relieved for you! I've been a long time subscriber and I am so glad that after your gastric bypass surgery, the divorce, you are still pushing it and improving yourself, so many people would just give up by now. I hope I can stay strong like you, right now I am pretty sure I have an infection, I am in pain everyday and half of my tooth is just gone but there is no way I can afford a dentist, I am heavily betting on a job opportunity right now, hopefully if everything goes right in a month or two I can attend to my teeth before I drop dead from septic shock or blood infection.... Hoping for the best... for you and for me!!! You should do a vlog when you go in for surgery and maybe see if you could timelapse the whole thing, I think that would be super cool! I hope this message finds you :)

I had the procedure done too. It's crazy. I went to the office on Dec 15 of 2016 and they pulled all of my teeth and placed the implants. The next day they placed the permanent teeth and that same night I was at Gilley's in LV eating a chicken dinner. Life changing! I'm super excited for you!

I'm really happy for you boogie and I hope that the surgery goes well. My teeth are in a terrible condition too due to depression/anxiety (severe dental decay, three missing crowns from my upper teeth) from years of not taking care of myself so I can relate to how you feel. You've given me the support/encouragement to look up a dental practice in the area that deals with nervous patients and I will call them on Monday to make an appointment for a consultation. Thank you.

Its definitely the right decision. I have dentures and im only 44 it makes such a difference being able to smile and not having to cover your face when you do smile

Congrats dude. I know the feeling. For years I put up with 2 decaying molars on my left side that made even water passing by them was excruciating, all put off from my anxiety from going to the dentist. A year on now and just the quality of life from being able to eat and drink on either side of my mouth is amazing. Well worth it

I'm really happy you're thinking about yourself and taking care of that sorta stuff. Shows how much healthier you are both physically but also mentally.

I just got my smile back on February 11th of this year after a long two year journey, and I am excited for you, and for your happiness. Good Luck, and trust me, the end result will stomp out your anxiety if you can visualize it.

when i was 16, i was in a really bad car accident and had to have some of front teeth yanked out from the damage. after 12 years i finally got teeth put in. i nearly cried, this boosted my confidence and made me feel "normal" again. congrats boogie.

Been staring at this down my pipeline. Been putting it off because of cost and the time needed to be off work for the appointments. Excited to see you follow up or even a vlog series of the whole experience.

Boogie I have super similar issues and I am SO STOKED for you gettin your grill all fixed and fancy. Its a huge thing I constantly think about with myself so I can only imagine the relief you are feeling bro. THATS WHATS UP!!!! I'm gonna live through your experience and the joy of your amazing dental transformation!! OMG I dont know what I would do other than cry like a damn baby if I got that call. Ive been a follower of yours for sometime now and never comment but Boogie for this I had to say something cause.....ITS SO NOT STUPID BOOGIE TO CARE ABOUT YOURSELF BOOG!!! Youre a good dude through and through and you deserve good things to manifest around you and more in your life. I'm a thirty six year old man and I'm tearing up at the thought of how awesome you must feel just knowing thats not something your gonna have to worry about or be an insecurity you always have about yourself let alone a high health risk it can become. I've had issues with infections that have almost killed me so I KNOW 100% how bad a mouth of bad teeth can be so please dont ever think that you caring about yourself is stupid Boogie!!! I was homeless as a kid and my family never pushed good habits.....at all. I didnt know until I was on my own as a late teenager that long term dental degeneration and neglect is permanent and a downhill path unless really aggressively taken care of it(which depending on the damage is soo expensive) and maintained and in my life I never had the time seeing as everyday survival and living was a problem for the first almost twenty years of my life, I didnt stop slow down and really see what the damage was as a whole for me until four or five years ago and by then it seemed hopeless and then a skating injury smashed my front teeth up into my nose and jaw line and its been a problem or a snap every couple months. I know your pain Boogie brother and am sharing in the excitement and hope you must constantly feel now for something so damn great!!! Thanks for sharing this....YOU'RE THE BEST, DON'T EVER FORGET THAT OR LET ANYBODY EVER TRY TO TELL YOU OTHERWISE!!!!

Good luck! I'm scheduled for the same thing with a different dentist next Thursday. Same cause. Neglect, spent a year homeless and just was never able to get the teeth under control after that. I feel your pain, and understand those infections 100%
