Boogies Trains at: Crewe - 5 February, 2024 - Part One

After my weekend jaunt around Warrington, Liverpool and Manchester, I had a three hour lay over at Crewe. I visited regularly in the early 1970s but this was my first spotting trip here since 1974.
I was keen to record as much as possible of the every day ordinary as well as the extras that always seem to pop up here so this is the first of several episodes covering the period from 10:00 to 13:30.

Another great video! Crewe station is certainly served by a fair few TOCs. Avanti West Coast, EMR, Northern, West Midlands Trains and TfW.

I still can’t wait to see the Avanti West Coast Class 805 and Class 807 IETs in service. I do like the Avanti West Class 390 Pendolino and I still haven’t been to Crewe.

I was passing through today, and found that Platform 5 is bi-directional, as well as Platform 6.

I used to see Manchester bound Pendolinos in platform 5 on Railcam but they were using 6 on the day I was there.
