I still can’t wait to see the Class 805 and Class 807 coming into service on the West Coast Main Line. And of course London Northwestern Railway Class 730/2.

Yes, there are quite a lot of exciting developments just on the horizon. Everything seems to take so long to happen these days. Any excuse for a delay and to spend more money delivering nothing.

Some of these large junction stations absolutely stink of diesel but it seems very little is done to minimise its effects. The pollution levels must be off the scale and yet you never hear a word from the environmental zealots. Even more galling is that there are electric wires over most lines.
