Boogies Trains at: Clapham Junction - 23 July, 2024 - Part One

The first part of a report from 'Britain's Busiest Railway Station'. I visit regularly and have posted many videos from this location before. With the squadron rollout of class 701 still more of a mirage than a reality, I took the opportunity to record the 455s which soldier on whilst their replacements languish in sidings up and down the country.
The video also includes the usual mix of Southern and Southwestern services.

The Class 455 are due to be replaced by the Class 701 Arterios and some of the new Class 701s have started entering service to Shepperton. And more Class 701s to enter service on the Chessington South line and to Woking, Guildford, Dorking and Reading before the end of this year.

I think the yellow pathways are the authorised walking routes for staff. Presumably he had good reason to be there. Staff working in the yard access it from the overbridge but usually head the other way once down to track level.
