Just a tip, don't include the word "book" in any of the 7 keyword boxes, it's against KDP rules, I chatted with one of their employee and he said this is true you can't use it.

Oh, thank you! If you could see a mental gps map of where my thought process goes when choosing a niche, it would look like a gigantic yarn ball thats been tossed all over and has come unravelled. That’s me, choosing a niche - UNRAVELLED! This has been very helpful. I know there are many ways to find niches but at least I can count on this to be a cleaner more civilized process. ❤

The short cut function is from Bookbolt so if you have the bookbolt subscription it should work regardless of what computer you have :)

Yes you can! When you upload to Amazon you will be asked to select white vs cream pages. So just make sure you select the one you want at the time of publishing:)

I would like to publish customised journals e.g prayer journals, relationship questions for couples journals, self discovery journals, e.t.c filled with prompts, quotes, e.t.c. Is canva appropriate for the creation of these or do you have any other ideas. If you can make a tutorial on this it would be amazing. Most videos are on how to make lined journals.

Regarding your question, if you are looking to create your interior pages from scratch then Canva is definitely a great option as it gives you a lot of flexibility to customize the page to exactly how you want it to look. I’ve received a lot of feedback asking for tutorials on interiors aside from lined journals so will definitely be looking to create a video on it soon! Thanks for your suggestion :)

great job Ivy - you are the first presenter I've seen on KZbin, who was't rushing through it like there was a fire or something. I'm thinking you should offer mentoring through azoom medium a nd charge for it. this way there is one on one coaching, questions can be answered directly - I do zoom trainings in the finance arena, and have 100 participants at one meeting.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a question! Personally, I do have the pro membership of Canva and love it as I really enjoy having access to all their graphics and design elements as I find it gives me a lot more options and flexibility for my book designs. However, I think it comes down to personal preference. If you haven’t tried Canva Pro before then I definitely recommend at least signing up to try it out since you get a 30 day free trial. During that 30 days you can try creating some books with it and then assess if it is something you feel is worth keeping for longer term. If not, you can always downgrade back to the free membership within a month :) hope this helps!

Are you referring to the screen to start creating your cover? If so, in the drop down on top left in Book Bolt, select "Create". From there, select "Book Bolt Studio". Once you are in Book Bolt Studio, you can go to "Project" in the top left drop down and then select "Create new". You will then be provided the options of what you can create. I.e. "Paperback: Cover" or "Paperback: Cover & Interior"....etc. Hope this helps!
