Suffice it to say that we are indeed blessed to have in our close circle an extraordinary poet with a remarkable poetic talent & sensibilities in the form of Dr. Jagruti Trivedi. Each poem in the collection 'Dear Life' by her is quite a gem and replete with a refined feminine sensibility or is predominantly imbued with passionate, devotional spirit. Bearing a striking fealty to Wordsworth's conception of Poetry, they are unmistakably 'spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings recollected in tranquility'. In Jagruti's own words, "I wish to grasp the Truth and it's beauty; To fulfill my promise and my inherent duty." ( Quoted from 'The Window to the Unknown'). She has quite effectively managed to capture the 'Truth' of human predicament with admirable aesthetic touches as perceived by her subtle, sensitive self. The collection is truly 'a thing of beauty' and indeed, a perennial source of joy! The anthology is, without doubt, going to be a treat for all poetry lovers and deserves to have a pride of place on the top shelf in the library of every earnest follower of Indian English Poetry. Kudos to Dr. Javdekar for giving it a wide & deserving publicity through this channel which I hope so will, in all likelihood, become a 'Hall of Fame' in its own right.
