Book Emirates Flights NOW with Air Canada Aeroplan Points to get the best deal

How do you find business class flights for 70k points? I haven’t seen anything under 200k recently, unless it’s mixed class and mostly economy

UPDATE: Award availability is back! -- I have some bad news. For December 7 + 8 there was a lot of award availability especially into late 2023. Sometimes up to 7 seats. So as of last night Sat Dec 9 it looks like Emirates pulled A LOT of the business class award space from Aeroplan. There is still some availability but it’s limited. The emirates nyc to dxb route doesn’t even show at all You might still be able to find some availability for spring 2023 from select cities for 2-3 seats but not the 7+ seats I saw when the new partnership started on Dec 7. Maybe in the video I should’ve said you have hours to book instead of weeks because it looked like things changed up quickly 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@MaxMilesPoints I was excited to see EK and Aeroplan since Amex Canada doesn't transfer to EK... but unfortunate I guess. Similar situation, I'm based out of YYZ and YYZ to DXB on EK doesn't show at all. Disappointing but understandable, I guess. We've still gone quite far since Air Canada feuding with EK and the ME3... LAX to DXB per your example on EK only yields economy in Feb, and I can't find anything beyond a few months out (e.g. May 2023).

@@MaxMilesPoints Although booking directly using Emirates points cost more in points and fees, I would assume that Emirates opens up more availability for its own members? The release of the large amounts of award space to AC Aeroplan was probably a glitch.

@@yvr2002rtw maybe not a glitch. Checked this morning for late 2023 Emirates award space on Aeroplan, and looks like a large amount of award space is back. 5+ seats in some cases.

If something is 200k points it's usually because there's an Air Canada flight mixed in there and it flips to dynamic points pricing. Avoid Air Canada metal when booking points whenever possible.

I just booked Emirates Business Toronto to Abidjan via Dubai (20+ hour layover) for 55,000 points. Obviously used my Priority Rewards Voucher. Super stoked to fly Business Class on an Emirates A380.

I think they removed the +5k stopover option, if you add any other multi city it just adds whatever that extra flight would cost (so like 30k in economy) to the total.

Great video. Your examples were clear. What do you do if your planning a return trip? Would you just book the first leg individually for business using points and book the return trip separately in economy? I’m talking of a situation where I only have enough points to fly business one way!

On the AC website, the bookings show a total number of points + a dollar amount but at the end of the selection, the amounts change drastically and are much more expensive. Looks like they changed something but only on the last checkout page, it will keep looking like a good deal until you reach the end.....

Previously I was able to book Indian domestic flights (Air India/ Vistara ) from DEL to HYD and DEL to BOM through aero plan but nowadays the Indian domestic flights seem to have disappeared in aero plan. I am able to find it through other partners (Turkish or Singapore) but not in Air Canada’s aeroplan. If you have a solution please let me know. It would be of great help😊

Hi Max, I have a freedom unlimited and a CSR but I can't seem to get too many points quickly. Right now, I have about a 100k but that includes the CSR's 80k signon. Any advice on how to build up many many points? I'm open to changing my credit cards :)

Maximize the chase system first. Get the chase freedom flex and maximize every dollar you spend across all three cards based on their spend categories. Make sure you take advantage of extra points earning opportunities you might be targeted for offers on chase.com/mybonus . Refer friends to the card is another good way to earn more points without spending more

The key to getting points is to open more credit cards. The Chase Ink Business cards are at all time high. Refer people for referral bonus. Spend more money (even if you're manufacturing spend).

Look at the examples in my video. They aren’t mixed class tickets. Follow the instructions in the video. Find award business availability for LAX to DXB. Then search for business award availability from DXB to DEL. If you can find both, write down the dates and input it as multi-city / stopover search or search it as a one way itinerary. Mixed class tickets clearly say mixed class, the examples in the video don’t say mixed class 😉. Find award availability
