It was a fun episode, but some parts were a bit silly. So apparently when your comrades are ambushed you rescue them not by attacking the enemy from the flank or from the rear, but by getting into the same trap to be surrounded. Everybody keeps shooting the shielded droid, but not one shot after shield went down after collision.

I thought the same, I would really appreciate it if they would think a little bit more and stop doing useless stuff like in one scene were someone did a 360 degree turn on his knees to shoot. He could just have stayed in that position and started shooting earlier. They should move more like in war movies and not like in the A-team.

The symbolism of seeing the Stormtrooper helmets in juxtaposition to the Pykes walking in frame is more about presenting the idea that Tatooine resists all outside authority moving in with death. And symbolic that Tatooine is almost ungovernable. And that we will see this as the constant struggle for Boba moving forward as he tries to bring order and unity under his guidance.

Love your depth and perspective. You give great details and since I didn’t follow the animated series, this is very helpful and makes watching these shows more fun. Since these are “space westerns” and they follow the formula of a lot of old western series, I recommend to people under 35 to watch The Rifleman, Have Gun Will Travel and for fun, the spoof western, F Troop. These will give insight into how and why Jon and Dave write and produce their stories. It really helps with my predictions too because I follow the logic of the old westerns’ drama! There are some analysts amongst your peers who want a motion picture level project chopped into episodes and they always express disappointment when the writers and directors don’t fulfill their theories and expectations. The great westerns of long ago explain what George Lucas started and wanted to preserve. Jon and Dave are doing just that.
@lightwoven53262 жыл бұрын
As started by Edgar Rice Burroughs all modern scifi can chase its roots via John Carter of Mars series to Westerns. In 1976/7 George Lucas trying to sell Star Wars explicitly stated that Star Wars was in fact John Carter revisited.

The amount of Mando, Grogu & Luke was unexpected in BoBF but in hindsight I see that it will broaden and strengthen future story lines across the franchise. It was especially good to see some real evolution in all the characters. The world isn't black and white so it's terrific when our perceptions can be widened. Very glad to see Fennec take out the cabal, glad that Cobb is alive but still saddened about those Gamoreans. There's a lot of untapped dramatic and comedic potential in those characters. Looking forward to Obi-Wan and hopefully more Ashoka. Rosario Dawson was born for that character. I waited to watch your breakdown until I'd seen the final episode twice. I felt like Mando/Grogu took over the show and this felt like Mandolorian Season 2.5 in the end. Honestly at the end of Season 2 of Mandolorian you see Fett sitting on the throne of Jabba which you have again now essentially. I feel like the show didn't make us care enough about why removing the Pike Syndicate matters. Sure drug trade is bad, but we never really saw the effects of it we were just told that this would be good. However the feels did hit when Mando showed up, and eventually Luke/Grogu and the reunion of Grogu and Mando. I'm having a hard time caring much about Boba and his adventures on Tatooine.
@echo36922 жыл бұрын
Did you watch the same show? It didnt matter about the drug trade it was that boba wasnt incharge of it and the pykes wanting to kill him. And im glad they added the luke grogu and mando scenes bc all the boba parts were dry
@krystlih2 жыл бұрын
@@echo3692 This all started before Boba even got to Jabba's palace, he was with the sand people and took out a Pike train which was carrying spice with the Tuskan's. That's why the Pikes wanted him dead, but ultimately other than that bit of history that the sand people were being slaughtered by the Pikes is the only real reason to care about them being on Tatooine. I just felt like they could have given us more of a reason to care about those events. But, we did care about Mando/Grogu so that was the saving grace of this show IMO. The fight scenes were cool and I enjoyed them and I enjoyed it overall, but it didn't hit home the same way the Mando did in season1/2.

The people complaining, I reckon, are the kind of Star Wars fans who personally built up Boba Fett, inside their own fantasies, as this Jedi-level bounty hunter, who could kick all kinds of a$$ without any problems. But I think that Fett had a better ending in this episode than he did during "Return of the Jedi." So for all the complaining, I kinda feel like Boba Fett was redeemed by this show.

Fennec Shand is a great partner. She gives great advice to keep Boba grounded and handles her business on the assassinations of their enemies when needed. Fantastic episode. Looking forward to The Mandalorian season 3 and love Seeing the Beskar Bros fight back to back was legendary! andÍ wonder if Boba's comment in the end, might mean we see him again in the War on Mandalorian, because Din might ask him to join up when it comes to that. And as Din sees Grogu merge two different ways, maybe he too can begin to consider bringing changes to the Way. In that way he might become a very interesting Mandalorian.

I was really looking forward to Boba Fett, but it kind of lost steam as it went on. 5 and 6 felt like Madolorian episodes and hardly had Fett in them. @@obfuscator_ium I was actually enjoying Fett’s backstory arch with the Tuscans, how he got out of the Sarlacc, how he met Fennec Shand etc. I would have preferred more of a backstory for 5 and 6 for me to get into the Cad Bane arch (especially if your not familiar with their history) but we had Mandolorian pre season episode 1 and 2, when one would have done and episode 6 could have been season three episode 1. Edit: oh and to kill Cad Bane off in two episodes is a really stupid idea!

I think that Grogu will go back to Luke at the end of Season 3 which may be the last season of The Mandalorian as a standalone show.
