If you liked Inkheart, by the way, you should try the Reckless trilogy by Cornelia Funke. The story is based on Grimm's fairytales and much more darker than Inkheart. Especially the second book is just brilliant :)

If you like Hunger Games I would recommend Battle Royale. It came out before Hunger Games and personally I like it more. You are able to see every character’s death as a selected class is thrown onto an island to fight to the death.

Maybe next time you can do something like searching "what book should I read if I liked (a/b/c)" and let google fill out the rest. You might get some strange options as you go but it's an idea :P (I think I've seen the Super Carlin Brothers doing this before)
