I've just started reading this a couple of days ago, and so far I love it! :) I love how she has this kind of simple and light-hearted approach, like it doesn't have to be super complicated to work with Luna.

Oh my goodness, this sounds like such an awesome book! I think it's been on my "to read" list for a while, but it's being bumped up for sure. I happened to buy this a few days ago, I've been trying to be a bit more sensible about buying books (like you, I struggle to read quite a bit of the time) but last week was the first remotely productive week I've had in a long time (big fibromyalgia flare up) and I decided to treat myself as I'd been eyeing it up a couple of times a day (on amazon) for a week or so, and I figure it gives me time to get some reading done before the next new moon... I'm excited!

I'm mostly liking it so far, although I'm not entirely sure I agree with the necessity to forgive everything ever (in the Full Moon section). Still, there's a lot of good stuff in there :) and yes, it's a pretty clear read!

Haha this book is all about working with the moon, so it does teach you how to use your rising sign with the moon, but doesn't really go into depth about astrology overall. Yasmin Boland does have another book about astrology, although I haven't read that one myself yet. :)

A book that I've been hearing good things about in regards to astrology is "Practical Astrology for Witches and Pagans" by Ivo Dominguez Jr. It's more about using astrology in your practice. I haven't got it yet, but it's fairly high on my wish list.

A while ago I saw a video of yours showing that you had purchased this book. I don't know why but I just fad to have it, so I bought it, feeling a bit afraid that it would be a little bit to complicated for me. I haven't found the time to read it yet, but now I feel much more motivated to start it. I don't have that much astrology knowledge either so I really liked watching this video. Other than having a vague understanding of the core characteristics of my sun sign, I really didn't know much about astrology. I still don't really feel like I know a lot - but the book has enabled me to work with the relevant energies anyway! I hope you enjoy it :)

I have this book, though I haven't gotten into it yet. So many books, so little time. ~_^ After your review of The Map, I did try reading that again. It went much better this time, though I admit that I read but didn't try most of the exercises. I may try them a little at a time over the coming weeks. I'll have to look at using the Moonology book again. I got it because I'd heard so many good things about it, I'm slowly learning astrology, and I want to work more closely with the moon. I would love this book, I love working with the moon, I just don't know my sun, moon, and rising and the houses either.

If you know your birthday, it's really easy to work out your sun sign. For your rising sign, you do need your time and place of birth. If you have that info, it's really easy to look your signs online. :)
