I read it and I didn't find the characters difficult but that was just me. They all have their own things but in the second book in the series I mix Zara and Skye sometimes but I got over that because I can now tell them about. I loved the first book to the series and it's so good so far.

In my case, since I was more of a romance/romantasy girl I wasn't so into the puzzles and riddles at first so I lowkey got bored. Also got irritated on how Emily's name would always be brought up in every single normal conversation lmfao, it reminded me of that one game I used to play 'mystic messenger' lol. However, once things started unfolding near the end that's when I got hooked, I'm glad I bought the second book in advance!

honestly the Emily thing is so real😭 I hated how gray and Jameson kept bringing her up and how they ‘had the blood of her on their hands’ and that was like the only thing they both talked abt😭😭

ooh the inheritance games and harry potter are both my favs lol. i would say harry potter just bc the inheritance games fourth book doesn't come out until late august and if like me, you end up loving the series then it's gonna be hard waiting. i haven't read option one or three tho. but it depends what you're into! if you're into a more fantasy kinda read then go for harry potter but if it's more of a mystery one then the inheritance games. i hope you enjoy them

Depends on what trope u want, the Inheritance Games is a mystery while the Cruel Prince is a fantasy. Both are amazing though ✨
