Oh I Loved the Laura Ingols Wilder book series as a little girl ( not so much the TV Series ) I believe I've got one of the older published books somewhere from my childhood am 55 yrs old now

The joy you get from what say the simple things, the lovely photos in a cook book. I think it's a reminder to go look at some of books hidden away & bring them out to enjoy. My great grandchildren I call them my munchkins have so many toys, you showed you dont need that many for a child can get joy & pleasure from. A timely lesson we dont need stuff we need time to sit & play with them. I love it when I go there & say "come play great nan, come play" what joy it brings me. Getting old not so bad when you have moments like this. I've regressed thank you for a lovely video. Please I could then sit with my munchkins to watch & maybe at the end to sing a family song

Aw, I have an old Betty Crocker cookbook on my bookshelf, too! It helped me to learn to read as a little girl- I loved all the small stories added to some of the recipes. It's a little treasure from the past and like yours, it has been well used.

"Lessons in Chemistry" by Bonnie Garmus is a recent new book which blew me away and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The banana bread is really good in Betty Crocker. I cut the sugar to one cup. And I use almond milk instead of milk. I add chocolate chips and walnuts.

aww the jolly barnyard, my first 2 (now10 &11) read the pages out of that one years ago! We home school and so I'm reading constantly to the kiddos, but one of my MOST favorite narrators is Cherry Jones doing the little house series, we loved listening to her read it!

We have the same children's Bible and it's a family heirloom for us as well! It's the best 💜 I love this video..My favorite thing to do when I visit people's homes is to check out the bookshelf. I feel like you can learn a lot about a person by what they have on their bookshelf.

Hi Laura, I just want to say that I love your video's. You have such a great personality and smile. I would love to live in a community where you feel love and comfort. I also have a bookshelf full of memories and lots of cookbooks. Childrens books that I used to read. "Normal" books with stories where you also can learn from. Please hold on to your lifestyle with people who belief in God and want to share that with eachother. I live in the Netherlands and everything in really going down hill here these days. Oh, tell your beekeepers to get some Caucasian honeybees from Winters Apiary in TN. They did have Russians too. Which so gentle, I never wore a suit. Only shorts and T-shirt. Sue Cobey (Mony was spell corrector) went to Turkey to bring these back. Russians are resistant to varroa or in Russia. Which they are highly desirable. Which you mentioned a light spring rain, they'll work in invalidate weather. 😉😉😉

I'd love 💕 to visit the bruderhof in Kent but unfortunately I am reliant upon public transport I'm from the UK shame they do not do a coach holiday to these places Laura if you get a chance to go on eBay or someone can help you look for BBC active the complete come and praise words hn book great for kids and adults my favourite hymn is Autumn days

great video! I don't know if you talked about this subject before on the channel but I've been wondering wether there are any rules in the Bruderhof community for (married) women to cover their hair? Also, I'm curious to know if all of your siblings are members of the Bruderhof or did some leave the community?

Do you not use the meat eater book because it would be too expensive to ask for cuts of meat to cook at home
