Again, But Better was the magic that pulled me out of my reading slump. I haven't read a book that wasn't for school since I was probably 14 and I'm 22 now. I sat down with ABB on a Sunday night and finished it the next day. It was so good, so cute, so many twists, I was crying by the end of it. I've been watching your channel since 2015 and since I've followed along with your book writing journey from the beginning, I've actually told people about ABB by saying "yeah my friend wrote a book, like a real published book". I love this book so much and I can't wait to read your next one!

For juggling projects: I usually dedicate more time to the one that has a sooner deadline. I usually give a week to one project and then a week to the other so I can stay in that project’s mind set. I try to set goals of how much I want to accomplish in the week. I usually reread the first chapter and my most recent paragraphs before starting to write. Just to get me back in. Alternatively, if they’re due pretty close to each other and need about the same amount of work (while the deadlines are A WAYS away), I’ll work on one first thing in the morning and the other before I go to bed. And I sorta train my brain to think in one world in the morning and the other world at night. It sounds insane but it helps me loads.

So excited to continue following your writing journey. My best tip for working on multiple projects is set a plan that you try to stick to each week. Either have certain days for certain projects, or certain time slots (I would suggest 1-3hrs with 5 min drink breaks) that are the same every week. This way your brain gets into the rhythm so will auto prep for what you'll work on in your next session, without continuously worrying if you are spending too much time on one project over another (you don't have to divide the time up equally, as it depends on priority and size of each project), and that will save you a lot of time and allow you to focus on whatever you're working on in the moment.

Christine! Great video, already love season 2! This is how I juggle multiple projects. I was talking to my critique partner about this, and he said that I have new idea syndrome, and I'm okay with that, but he gave me some advice, that I will give you, work on a different scene, and then move on to the next project. I'm working on four projects, including my freelance writing (my fourth is my NaNoWriMo project), so do that, I have been doing it for a little while now, and it works. I used to do that on my own, but my critique partner telling me to do it, is working better. So, if you have a chance to that. Loved the video Christine, you rock, good luck with the next project!

Hey! Can't wait to hear more about BT. As for juggling with two projects, I tend to switch the atmosphere of the songs I listen to. One of the books I'm writing is this epic fantasy one so I mostly listen to scores of TV shows and movies, while the other one is a contemporary so I listen to upbeat songs... If both your projects are in the same genre, I guess maybe rereading the last two chapters before you start writing can help or writing one in the morning and one at night... Or just maybe changing spots where you write (your bed or your desk or at a coffee shop... ) I hope these tips will work and I wish you a gazillion Illumination moments during which you write 10K in one sitting :)

I’ve been writing my book for over a year now, and it has been so eye opening. I’ve known how much work it was to write fantasy, but outlining and drafting and editing, has been a lot. It’s been so fun to create something. My initial goal was 120K words, but I dropped it to 100K because I didn’t believe in myself, but editing the 2nd and the 3rd have made it a total of 127K. I’m almost done with draft 3 of my book. *dances around* Also, can’t wait for ABB merch, and I’m happy for you, and your next book. 💖
