maybe Vassa and Jurian? I'd totally dig the whole Swan Princess thing. I know Vassa meshed with Lucian at the end but I'm still holding out that Elain will get her stupid head out of her ass.

I thought it was made quite clear that Amren's an angel. The sequel will probably be about the human queen and breaking her curse, with Lucien and Azriel in the background.

I agree about the Amren angel connection. Pretty much everything she said in this book sounded like spot on for her to be an angel, fallen in her case, exactly how she words it at one point. And then at the end I'm fairly sure she had both wings and a halo.

I'm with you on Mor and Azriel. I loved those two so so much. I wanted them to be together but that didn't happen. And as much as I appreciate Sarah showing more representation, I didn't like how it was done. How Mor knows fully well she'll never love him that way but doesn't want to tell him. And then kinda rubs it in his face by going off with other guys. And that hurt. I love Azriel so much. He's my second male favorite character from the books and I wanted him to be happy. I wanted that more than anything. I would love if the next set of books were told from his POV. There's so much about him I'd love to know.

-I love Lucien to death and I think he deserves someone who actually wants him back and I don't think Elaine would be able to give that to him, I also don't think she would be good with Az -On the contrary, i HATE Nesta even after this book, but I love her with Cas? Like I was LIVING for that ending like she was willing to die with him???? Hello???? It has to be a mating bond there is no way there isn't, especially after how she started yelling his name and what not during the battle, praying to god SJM makes in cannon because damn man -With the bone carver, I thought we were gonna get Rhys babies, I'm still upset there were no Rhys babies, still optimistic about Rhys babies -YO THAT MEETING THO I WAS LIIIIIIIVING FOR THAT DRAMA OH GURL DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THAT TAMLIN AND RHYS NONSENSE I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND, AND THAT BABY DADDY DRAMA SHIT SON I WAS LIKE YESSSSSSS GOD -I'm kinda mad at Mor, I understand coming out is hard but she's been leading Az on for 500 yeeeears, at least let the man know she's not interested, let him move on and be happy you know? -Tamlin, he's a prick and I still really don't like him but I'm really happy that he helped the Night Court peeps out, he still loves Fayre and wants to see her happy and in this book I think Tamlin almost redeemed himself -Rhys dying destroyed ((even though I called it from the beginning)) me but him coming back was pretty predictable, AMREN THO I THOUGHT SHE WAS GONE FOREVER BUT NAH SON LOVE AMREN SO SO MUCH Ugh so many thoughts, so many

TiaratobeRead it honestly made me really sad I was like dude I'm sorry. Because if you think about it Fayre was quite literally ripped away from him (during their wedding may I remind you) and yes he was abusive but he was just doing what he thought would protect her (no im not condoning what he did and no it's 100% not okay) but I felt kind of bad (?) for him, again he's still prick but he still deserves to be happy
@tiaratoberead12167 жыл бұрын
Kyla O'Regan my sentiments exactly I felt so bad and I hope he takes the time to really understand more what he did wrong, he was starting to in this book but he needs more time and then I want him to be happy bc he lost his love and his best friend (Lucien). So sad.
@kylaoregan61787 жыл бұрын
For that reason I really want the next few books to be in Lucien's perspective in hopes that we might get to still see how Tamlin is dealing with everything, and I mean the spring court is really pretty and I don't want to be 100% finished with it, I still feel like there are things to be wrapped up with Tamlin and his court, especially because the court itself kinda went under during the whole war situation, I want to see it get fixed and back to even a somewhat stable place

When the suriel died i actually ugly cried because you know what? the Suriel was a dreamer. i was actually really upset that she made us feel so upset about the Suriel but I guess the alternative was killing of one of the members of the court of Dreams. anyways for the next books I think they will center around the human queen Assa and Jurian, Nesta and Cassian, Elain and Lucien, Miryam and Drakon, and maybe Morrigan and her whole coming out and finding love. Oh my gosh there are so many possibilities! but im so sad that we won't be rading in the point of view of Feyre anymore.

I spent this whole book thinking everyone thought Nesta and Cassian had a mating bond. I had a short story in my edition of ACOMAF that lead me to believe that the stirrings of a bond were between them. Nesta is a cruel character, but if she is a wielder of death then it makes sense. Death is cruel and it can't be wielded by a kind soul like Elain. I love Az, but I don't know if I want him to end up with Elain or anyone. I'm on the fence. The Bone Carver and the Suriel are two of my favorite creatures in this series. I cried when both of them died because I really loved them. I would like to see a book that focuses on each of the Inner Circle. I don't know. I just feel like each of them has an important story that goes beyond these books. I really enjoyed Mor's reasoning for stringing Az on for so long, but at the same time, I don't think that it was her original storyline. I think the backlash of "fans" who want more diversity (she's not a diverse author and that's okay; some writers are not meant to write outside of what they know) and it just felt forced and cruel. I don't know I'm on the fence about it. I love Mor, but to manipulate and deceive someone for over 500 years is cruel and I don't see that being Mor's original intention at all, but like I said people wanted diversity and Maas gave it to them at the expense of Az. I still love Mor though. I loved how in the end Elain was the one to kill them king and Nesta just brutalized him. It was incredibly believable and so satisfying. Rhys dying absolutely destroyed my soul. I was bawling for twenty minutes even when he came back because I was just so emotional. I definitely loved this one and it's my personal favorite in the trilogy. Thanks for putting out such a great video!

First off I loved the book. Not as much as ACOMAF but I wasn't expecting that going in. ACOMAF is just hard to compete with. I was very excited when you mentioned the Throne of Glass and ACOTAR connection. I always speculated they were connected after it mentioned the tear in the world amren came through. It just seemed to similar to the tears in the world in throne of glass. That it was one of the worlds that could possibly be accessed through one of the tears in throne of glass. But I totally missed that the bond carver said something. What was it exactly and where in the book. I'm intrigued!

"You get a mating bond!" hahaha fantastic. I think Elaine might reject Lucian and something will develop between her and Az once Mor tells him about her situation. Love Nesta x Cas too. She totally grew on me! So badass. Loved the high lord meeting scene too. Sooo epic when Feyre showed off her powers. Strong EoS vibes for the final battle when everyone shows up in the end, but a good setup for the following trilogy. Wondering if SJM will write the following books with multi-perspectives or just one character. If it followed a single PoV I think it would either be Elaine or Nesta (or maybe both!). And Oh👏My👏God👏 when Rhys died.. for a second there.. thy shat oneself.

This book completely wrecked my life. I read it, had to set it down near the end to cry sobbing tears, and definitely am looking forward to the new additions she is going to bring to us next year. I kind of want Elucian, but I can also see Az and Elain becoming something. I definitely enjoyed Feyre's brief stint in the Spring Court, doing everything in her power to piss off Tamlin and Ianthe. The Hybern twins are evil, nasty little bastards. Eris, too, while I am at it. Cassian and Az's grand, dramatic entrance was bloody brilliant. Feyre's reunion with Rhys and the Inner Circle was absolutely beautiful. Nesta and Cassian, holy gods! I saw that coming though, because of the short story at the end of the Target exclusive of ACOMAF. Elain being a seer was a shock, and Az figuring it out first, even more so. Mor's story of her sexuality was definitely a shock. I wanted her and Az together. The Dawn Court, and it's High Lord, are absolutely beautiful. Thesan was definitely a major surprise. The masks of Kallias and Helion Spell-Cleaver being ripped away to surprise Feyre with the truth of how they really are was kind of funny. Amren's true form was a major surprise, but not the fact that she intended to return to her true form. Ianthe's death was absolutely beautiful. Elain being part of the killing of the king of Hybern was a surprise to me. Az giving Truth-Teller to Elain was a beautiful, and very touching scene. I am glad that Tamlin got some sort of redemption. Chapter 76 and 77 killed me. I would have literally thrown the book had Rhys actually been killed. I had to set that down due to how badly I was crying. I fell in love with Rhys in ACOTAR, more in ACOMAF, and could not bear it if Feyre was left alone without the love of her life. I am glad Miryam and Drakon were introduced, and that they liked Feyre. Feyre learning to fly was bloody hilarious, as well as useful later in the book.

I hope we get a Lucien book from when he left to find Vassa until the battle scene and passed that because we do find out the he may have a different dad. I also want more of the inner circle story especially Azriel. I also have a feeling thag the other books might be focused on Vassa because she did ask Feyre if she can break her curse. I also think she might get shipped with ine of the inner circle or Tamlin (the curse thing). ughh, I thought this book was going to finally give me an ending but once I finished it I was like nooooooo I still have questions. But it was a great way for Sarah to still have us wrapped around these books.

Things is gonna be a long comment so hold tight: I want the next book to me focused on Az. I personally don't love him and Elaine together, but I just want a book about him so I'll take what I can get lol. I think Maas dropping the hint that the mating bond can be rejected is her way of telling us Elaine and Lucien won't be together, but I could be wrong. I'm usually not, but we'll see. I just wanna see more Az, get to know him better, see the full extent of what he can do. He's my favorite character so yeah, need more Az. I need more Winter Court. Messenger Fox. Nuff' said. Maas has said that the TOG series and ACOTAR series exist in the same universe, but not the same world I believe. She may decide to connect them sometime down the line tho. Lorcan from TOG has some of the same powers Rhys does, and another character from TOG can winnow. So, definitely room for connection there.

Jack Gets Lost Down a Book Hole I agree! I think they could be great friends but knowing Maas they'll probably end up together. She already did a bit of character assassination with Amir in ACOWAR, like she did with Chaol and Tamlin when it became clear they weren't end game.

I really want to have a book centered around the Autumn Court. How it became so vicious and bloodthirsty. Even a prequel with Helion, the lady of Autumn and Baron would be fascinating! I’m also super curious about Eris, I think there is a lot more to his character, definitely morally gray but I think he can have a lot of depth and we started to see it in the ACOWAR.
@Pookie5156 жыл бұрын
I also want to see more diversity in these books. Like I’m tired of this “golden brown” bs like bish you mean white with a killer tan. I get excited that maybe there is a bit of diversity like Rhys with the middle Eastern inspired night court clothing but nope just tanned. Idk if she purposefully uses the word brown to make the race ambiguous. Still it would be neat to see a diverse group of fae. 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽I hope they have some diversity in the future

I also would love to see the next book be in Lucien's perspective! I like his character a lot and I do want to see what happens with him - I actually kind of enjoyed that short moment in his perspective when Feyre was in his head. I really want to see Elain with Lucien and I agree that I would rather there be a friendship between Elain and Azriel. So I'm really, really hoping there will be a book on Lucien! Also, her named is spelled Amren, so I don't think it's pronounced Armen. I swear we need a full list of how to pronounce all the names in this series! I've been pronouncing Amren the way it's spelled: Am-ren. And Rhysand is even more complicated, but SJM said his name is pronounced Rees-sand. Maybe one day she'll create an entire list of all the pronunciations of every character one day! LOL I believe Sarah said that ToG and ACOTAR are in the same megaverse, but she said ToG and ACOTAR are not of the same world. However, I'm sure they could be connected in some way later on.

Maybe will get the Autumn Court in another book. I have same problem with the Az, Elain, Lucien triangle that seems to be developing. I don't hate love triangles, I'm okay with them, but in cases like this I don't want them. Sarah seems to be hinting that we might get one.
@Bookables7 жыл бұрын
Blah I am not a fan of love triangles! And I love both AZ and Lucien for diff reasons. No love triangle please!
@jackiesliterarycorner7 жыл бұрын
Most people aren't fans. Guess I'm the odd one out, but in this case I agree, no love triangles. It looks like from the hints we might get one though. I'm just hoping Az won't be interested in Elain in that way, though I will feel bad for sweet Elain if she has feelings for Az.
@rbkortz7 жыл бұрын
Bookables More than a triangle I think Lucien will have some connection to Vassa and if Elain rejects the bond he will need the distance and work (the queen vengance against the other queens). If she rejects the bond while being just friends with Az and Lucian goes away after that, we have no triangle. The other posibility with Lucian is to become his real father only heir away from the Court of Dreams. As per Elain and Az, they both loved and got their heart broken, who know maybe friendship maybe love, but no mating bond. There you go! Thats my theory! Not that I want that, it just comes from bits and hints around the story.
@jackiesliterarycorner7 жыл бұрын
I would be okay with that, but I still lean towards Lucien and Elain. I get why Elain isn't into him though.

I personally would want to see Lucien and Elain together. I think that all three sisters being with the Illyrian males is so boring because unlike Feyre and Nesta who actually have tons of chemistry with Rhys and Cass I think that Az was there for Elain when she was breaking and she really needed support - I truly see them as a great Brotp. Why is every interaction with a male and a female considered romantic? I feel like their friendship would be so cute. Besides I don't think it's the right time for both of them- Az is still head over heels in love with Mor (which needs to be resolved) and I would like to see him with an entirely newly introduced character from scratch. On the other hand Elain was engaged and ready to marry so of course being turned into fae and having a MATE on top of that would be something new and different for her. I feel like there is a lot of interesting stories that can be written about Lucien and Elain - him giving her the right to reject or keep the bond, them getting to know each other (because as he said "Elain was literally thrown in his life") and it would be a cool concept to see. Just.. I want for ONCE people to see that a friendship between a male and female exist and they can love each other (Az and Elain) as much even without a romantic relationship. And even if there are people who truly ship Elriel, some, if not most, basically ship it out of spite (either they don't like Lucien or Mor after her coming out) which is not my cup of tee. On the other hand, while I really LOVELOVE Feysand I was certainly more involved with Nessian simply because they are at the point where Feysand were in ACOMAF - bickering, longing, this tension and like we know there is more to them but neither makes the move or it is dismissed after everything. It keeps us wanting more and GOD Nesta screaming his name on the battlefield and Cassian's "last words" to her!! I CRIED. Overall, THANK YOU for being honest and giving us a very good review on the matter! I can't wait to see more from you (also make up on point goddamn!!!)

I still love feysand and always will but their relationship was already established in this book while cassian/nesta had all the tension and i was loving it!!! Love your comment! and thank you!!!!!

From what I understand about the mating bond is the male senses it first. The woman feels it during there fist time in bed. So it is up to the woman if the mating bond is accepted. Sarah j maas has said that both Throne and Court take place in the same universe

First off, I have to tell you thank you because I initially picked up this series to read because of your videos and it has easily become one of my favorites! And I have to say, I totally agree with you about feyre and rhys' relationship. I love their mutural respect for one another and how he always gives her an option and never an order or demand. I found it to be one of if not the healthiest YA relationships I've ever read about! I am new to this fantasy world. This was actually the first book I've read about faeries and I actually mentioned in one of my videos on my channel that I would immediately shut books and walk away from them at the first mention of faeries, but I really dig them now! Do you have any other favorite fantasy novels to recommend? I'd love to read more like this book! I am about to read sarah's other series throne of glass but I just can't get enough fantasy novels now! Any recommendations you have would be much appreciated!! :)

Great review! I absolutely love your Oprah "You get a mating bond, you get a mating bond..." comment. I kept cracking up over that comment yesterday after I watched this video the first time. By the way, as others have said, I think your makeup looks really great in this video. :)

I understand what everyone means about the mating bond being rare yet it seems like so many people are getting it. I am on the side that I am fine with it because in my mind it is only rare because of the fact that the fae and humans have been separated for so long which could be why it was so rare. Also I was hoping that Nesta and Cassian would get together since acomaf. However, I have to say especially for the beginning of the book I was getting so mad at her because it seemed like Cassian was trying so hard to be nice and caring and she was just being so mean to him. I don't like people being mean to anyone in the inner circle. I hope we get more of them but I also hope she changes for the better and starts caring and showing the same respect to him as he does to her. As far as Lucien I cant remember exactly when it was but I believe under the mountain Sarah J Maas described his family and something clicked them about him not being fully related to them. I didn't see it coming that he would be the child of another High Lord but I had a feeling he wasn't Beron's son.

I thought the Cassian/Nesta ship was contrived. I would have liked to ship Nesta and Amren. Elaine’s character was better at the end, but they wrapped her in cotton wool all the time.

oooh I would have liked that ship as well!!

I definitely love ACOTAR series more then TOG, but I'm definitely invested in both series. I think the series will cross over at some point. I think the bone carver and weavers brother is trapped in the TOG world somehow.

I wish I could say I loved this book, but I didn't, at all. I finished it Thursday, and since then, I've just gotten more disappointed about it. Everything was so convenient, Maas would totally gloss over major plot points but then spend 6 pages of something completely insignificant to the story, and Rhys, Rhys who I adored in the ACOMAF totally lost his edge... The sex scenes...ugh, I like smut, but these were so awkward. I have so much more to say but then I just get angry, so I'll stop here. Ive always loved how Maas would show, not tell in her writing, but in the book it was all tell and no show. I gave this a 3 star, but I'm not even sure it deserved that.

Im sorry you didnt like it but understand! I was a little disappointed myself with the ending! Everything just happened to perfectly whihc was not realistic at all!
@shee62417 жыл бұрын
booking momma I totally agree! I wish the ending wasn't so convenient it frustrated me so much! Also I felt that Rhys and Feyre didn't have that much chemistry which sucked as they were everything in the last one :(

I get how you feel about the whole mor and az thing but I know how hard it is to admit the fact that you have no interest in the person in correlation to your sexual orientation. It's so difficult especially when you're not ready to admit your S.O. ... but I wished that it was established early in the book though so that sarah had the chance to give that info weight because even with the fact that this isn't the last book it just feels too much like there are a lot floating around. Yeah

You are my favorite booktuber and I need some advice from you regarding this book. Few days ago I finished A court of mist and fury and than I accidentally spoiled myself by looking some fan art and I found out Feyre is going to die in this third book. I was so disappointed and sad because a court of mist and fury was my favorite book of this year. I don't get why she needed to die and why writers do that. I really wanted them to have a happy ending. I am really not sure if i should read this third book now because I know the ending and every time I open that book I am just sad because of the ending. So what would be your advice, is it worth reading to see what actually happened or em I going to get more pissed of. Thank you for your channel and amazing work :)
