I usually use a slightly thicker card stock but normal paper would also work

You are off to a great start, and I am interested to see where you take this channel. Will you go into creating and sewing signatures? Also, will heating up the spine with a hairdryer make it easier to remove the old cover?

They don't actually bind books on this channel, they just replace the cover. I was disappointed when I realized :/

You could use a cheese cloth or muslin material
