Good stuff Lewis. This situation was a great example of external considering. Gurdjieff could see into all the people around him, he knew exactly who and what they were. He knew beforehand what effect such an action would have, because he knew them so well. He knew beforehand what their subjective view would be of the shock, and thus knew the outcome. The situation highlights the level of insight he possessed. The amount of energy required for someone to have that level of awareness must have been palpable.

Hey Wesley! He definitely knew what people needed to proceed in their own evolution and awakening. It’s a shame that some of his followers couldn’t grasp it for themselves. I thoroughly enjoyed Peters’ recollections of his time with Mr. G

The experience of being on the receiving end, is unmistakable… the word Conscious is key I think.. it has to be from the higher to the lower to create the middle.. & looking back at my many years of Working with JGBennett , Elizabeth Bennett & Pierre Elliot, who were all direct Students of Mr G, the shock is delivered differently from each, I suspect that Pierre’s method was, as the Sly Man, nearest in method to Mr G . Your reading from Fritz Peters has added facets of understanding to one of the more memorable shocks that I have gratefully received. So maybe unless we are able to stand as Man no 5, we should leave shocks to arise by the quality of our own Work… the Law of Falling is equivalent to gravity & according to Rupert sheldrake in a recent conversation, it’s not so much about falling as being drawn towards the stronger magnetic energy.. Thank you this was very much appreciated

English translation with the help of Google translate: The three books by Fritz Peters dedicated to the relationship with Mr. Gurdjieff, despite not being his student, exude Work. They immerse us in an unknown dimension of the Being of the Gurdjieff man and his Teaching. Peters' existential torments, contradictions and vitality lead us to breathe a practical, direct, I would say essential vision of the Work. His understandings thus touch me “What I knew as a child, I begin to understand today as an adult. Gurdjieff practiced love in a form unknown to almost everyone: without limits. In the Gurdjieffian sense, 'to be or not to be' is not a dilemma that presupposes a moral evaluation. It is a premise to an inevitable solution. Having known Gurdjieff, there is only one possible answer and, therefore, the dilemma does not arise."

I loved the story of when Mr G was ill and Fritz Peters continued mowing the grass.

Yes, I remember that one vividly too! ‘You must cut the grass… no matter what happens..’ what a beautiful memoir of his young years with Gurdjieff. 😊🙏
